Vegas 7.0 is the best, i tried once vegas 8.0 and i didn't like it.

Vegas 8 doesnt have any NEW features you need to edit videos. It obviously uses much MORE of your computer resources. And it gives you MORE errors.

Stable editing with Vegas 7 or Premier.
