Ah, well hmm don't kick me yet! I'm still learning this mkv smemke business lol! But I am sorry for those that dled it and being like WTF, my speakers broken! no.....Samurai's a dum dum

Thx Daffy for giving a helping hand about the audio issue. I will rerender it though just for other people that might come across it in other forums or who manage to miss these posts.

About the posts you made, I hear what you mean. There aren't alot of vids to compare to if any that is completely non pcj and yea, there is no "bar" that has been set for these other vehicles. Other vehicles haven't been given as much love as the bikes or taxi and maybe we will see some stunts pushing the limits of the Blista hehe now to the max.
Yea, each stunt wasn't technically insane, but some were real toughies. And some were simple but fun, or good looking or the concept was interesting.

All in all, technicality blah blah is moot.  We had fun, and that was really the only goal and to hopefully show that through in a vid

Id like to see how high of a roof you're gonna pull from one of these vehicles lol

Thx for the big review donfikeegd.  A pleasure.

"Looked easy", "done before" and "old stunt" crap are nothing but attempt's to bring somebodys video down, period. I see it all the time and it's just shitty of people to do. If you don't enjoy a vid don't leave a comment, pretty simple isn't it?

The video was made because WE wanted to. The stunts put in it were stunts WE wanted in. The goal was to make a video that hopefully people would enjoy watching, that is all.

Must we discuss everything? Just enjoy the video for what it is ffs.

I loved this video - being a part of it throughout its entire development (wonderfully spearheaded by Brulla), seeing the great stunts as they are landed, watching the betas of the main and intro in awe (both wonderfully done by Samurai and Kaneda respectively), and watching the final product (in which everyone shined).

Editing (of intro, main and credits) was superb, with a great relaxing and fun atmosphere having been created. Some of my favourite parts were: the "F*ing Nitzkit" note in the intro (I only noticed this during my second viewing of the final, and had a nice chuckle), the flashing symbols next to us in the intro (groovy), the scenic shot that actually went through the clouds (and the use of actual water sounds in the first shot), the zooming transition used to intro some of the stunts, the fly-into-view on Sam's skimmer stunt, the unique shot on Kan's police car roofing, the zoomed-out shot during Brull's massive bridge grind, the transitioning-in effect on the static "Lagoon" shot at the start of the credits (and how well it fitted with the music), the perfect credit song choice, and the banner-out, just to name a few.

And of course the stunts were top notch too. Some of my favourite stunts done by the guys had to be: Brulla's two wheeling caddie skills, Kan's LC police car roofing off a tree, Sam's sandking bridge grind, the docks caddie combo, the helicopter bounce-grind, Kan's high LC hospital roofing, Max's boat barrel roll, Sam's tank bridge gap, and B-man's last stunt, again just to name a few.

Now for some comments on my stunts:

I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't able to get much stunts for it (I was stuck in a big stunting rut throughout alot of the video's stunting period. What you saw in that video, minus two, is the number of stunts I landed for it) - but I am actually extremely glad it worked out that way because everyone else's stuff was just so damn good, it would have been a shame for some of them not to be in the video.

I said minus two, because those first two boat roofing's (by the way, I think it was a Flatbed in the second one, not a dinghy) you see of mine were actually landed for Tandem, but I wasn't a big fan of them, so I didn't allow them to make the final cut. When this video came around, Brulla recalled them, and him and Sam both said they liked them and wanted to see them in this video, so that's why you are seeing them here. So, if you liked them, praise me, and if you didn't, blame them

My bus grind was the first stunt I actually landed for this video I think, such a fluke, but who cares, its cool!  .

The tank stunt was done on purpose, yes. When I landed it actually, I was torn, for one I was very happy because I had pulled it off exactly as planned (landing inside the stadium), but also kinda annoyed that due to the fact that I hit the top bit of the outer structure of the stadium, I thought people watching it might be disappointed that I didn't land up there, even though I wasn't even trying to in the first place. Thankfully Sam chose some perfect unique camera angles so as to put as little emphasis on that close encounter as possible.

The hotring stunt of mine was the last one I landed for the video, right towards the end. I nailed it during a SL-sparked car stunting session, and despite it being nothing spectacular, I couldn't help but really like it.

Then there was the boat grind. You gotta love stunts like that - I wasn't even trying to do that, so technically I got it on my 0-th attempt, how cool is that!  Kinda a shame it couldn't have gone a tiny bit longer, but oh well.

Now for some comments on Freeplay:

I began tinkering with the idea (which started with actually needing to learn how to even do Memory Editing, because prior to that I had no idea whatsoever) July last year, and serious working took place between Dec-March. I was spending alot of time on it over those months, I was really into it, and I was in a massive stunting rut, so I that wasn't a distraction. At that stage I was struggling with getting anything for this video, due to the rut, so I told myself that working on this tool would be part of my contribution to this video to make up for lack of stunt contribution. Thus the reason why this is the first time its been used, and wasn't released beforehand.

Although its not the only reason why it hasn't been released, there are still quite a few features I would like to add/fix/change/remove, unfortunately the difficulty of some of them, coupled with the distractions of IV and now the comm video, have hindered any such progress which would lead to an inevitable release. I suppose I could always just leave those features for now, save them for a future version or something, thus getting it out sooner, but there is still one feature that I feel I must do before any release, its not that hard, but could take some time. So hopefully I will find such time in the not too distant future to do it. (Hmmm, perhaps during the inevitable many renders, both test and final, of the comm vid where I will be sitting on my arse doing nothing, just waiting the long time for them to finish... could be utilised for such task).

Anyways, that's probably enough talk of that, considering this is actually a video thread  , but I figured it was worth saying to answer a few questions that were being asked.

Sweet video!!!!!

I just love the way the music starts... I'll write a full review soon ^^

Large Edit:
Okay, well, Like I said above, I'd do a full review. There is a problem, in a review, you have to point out your opinon, the good and the bad. Well, in my opinon this video is... relativly perfect. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the far zoom was a tad overused, otherwise, yeah, perfect. So, I can't rate perfection, all I have to say is; Sam, edit more please

Second Edit: This video is so good, I'm gonna have to change my car colors.

Sorry for the late reply guys! Been away for the last few days. Did watch this yesterday but I was too tired to take it in, so I'm gonna watch it again, hang on...

Right, intro wise and I think general editing/transition/whole package of editing was unbelievable. I mean, I have never seen anything quite like that, I can now understand why it took so bloody long! It was scarily professional from beginning to end, the intro looked amazing (however I think it could have been cut down to like the best moments of those that you filmed, as it dragged on a little considering how much I was longing to see the stunts ) and you managed to pull off such a beach-like feel just with environments and cool transitions, while keeping the editing cleaner than ever with the use of the replay tool (which is insane, Dannye is a genius). I also like how you didn't just spam the replay tool and totally rape it for all its uses, which you could have very easily done considering how great it is. However you kept it natural, editing was brilliant frankly.

OK, onto the stunts, sorry if my ramblings aren't very clear by the way guys, I'm still ridiculously tired.

First stunt; great work Brulla, Mr.Magic was trying that a while ago, I tried as well and it's a bastard. Standouts from you were... I can't really do standouts from this actually, the whole thing was brilliant. I think Brulla worked insanely hard for this video and it was well worth the effort, your stunts with weirder vehicles made me smile but your stunts with the hotring and that were totally stepped up a notch, really amazing. I think that goes for everybody actually. Dannye's boat stunts were great as was his coach grind, Neo's wallrides were really smooth and it was interesting to see you stunt in this way, differently from your normal style. Samurai had a great range of vehicles and stunts, some of his finds were fantastic, couldn't have thought of them in years. Kaneda got some mad height in some of those vehicles which I barely thought possible, as well as some kickass grinds. I really loved all the grinds in this by the way, it's very rare that you see proper grinds in vehicles other than bikes but all yours were either pulled off to perfection or shown to end by falling off or getting stuck, which I think is honest and kept with the whole natural editing and stunting feel. Madmax, great to see you could get one in, made me smile that one .

It's hard to say any negative points but I try to give some kind of critisisim on all videos. There were a couple of spots which were a little old, probably because you spent so long working hard on the video, however they weren't detrimental to the freshness of video too much and nothing had been done the same before completely (I think anyway). Also, I think it was a bit long, the song worked perfectly however if the main part was a bit shorter and you cut some of the less fresh ones out I think this could have been a little better, considering I dislike long videos in general  . I must say though that this didn't drag on and each second was enjoyable, these are just tiny things to keep in mind for the future considering I always like to put in a couple of possible improvements. Good job on finding great music by the way, I know how hard that was.

Overall, this video remained outstanding and incredibly unique in comparison to your previous ones; you didn't use the concept to carry the video, the stunts and editing carried it to new heights. What I mean is that pretty much any of these stunts could have made it into a normal video, you weren't just abusing the fact that it was non-bike or taxi, you really thought hard about being creative. I'm proud of you guys, you have definitely made one of my favourite videos of all time. I hope you guys enjoyed making it too, enough to carry on with this in the future!
