Which is kinda the point i was trying to get across as i was hoping it didn't seem like i was trying to rip on the stunts calling them easy... i think i'm gonna blame my sentence structure on a late hour too.
Keep making videos like this, stunting as we know it need it now more than ever

It's a well known fact that these videos are rare, which makes them very easy to notice and they kinda stand out as there's way less stunters that does these types of stunts rather than PSM's, BSM's, P2B's utilizing RADs method which makes it easier for you to get a good rating on the video than stunts with the same difficulty but old methods you see in most videos.
Not that this seems to be your goal when you make these videos, looks more like a bonus to me which is great, all i'm saying is that these kinda videos has in my opinion a tendency to get a little overrated due to the none-existing competition in this direction.

It's good to have opinions man.

Well I for one don't rate stunts by their difficulty, I rate them based on how entertaining they are to me. I'm not in for the fame with this hobby, I wouldn't ever choose the stunts I do on how well other people would like them, it's not like I get paid for it.

I think we can all agree that non-bike/taxi stunting is somewhat uncommon. I really like stunting with these more uncommon vehicles and my goal is to do my share of just putting the ideas out there and trying to inspire people to try new things, which they might really like.

About stunting videos being under- and overrated... It's a good topic actually. I don't think we can call any video under- or overrated because of the conflict of interests. Some of us rate stunts by the difficulty of the stunt, as some rate stunts by creativity and the impact they have on them, and the list goes on. Everyone has their own taste and therefore nothing can be over- or underrated in general.

I got what you meant though. It's good to be honest and put your thoughts out there.

I think you managed to put it well in your first post Daffy, it didn't sound arrogant. Overrated is a tough word to use, but your explanation about the missing competition is something I would agree with. Though there's something to remember, we (stunters) make stunt videos. There isn't a competition, the videos are made for people to watch. Even if people overrated the stunts in this video, they sure seemed to enjoy watching it (and that's what is important, in my opinion). I don't think a discussion about how to rate the stunts is needed.

Liked your post though, as I said.

EDIT:
Brulla brought up much of what I wanted to say, I didn't see that post until now.

That's a very good point, usually when i rate a stunt i usually go by 3 criteria.
1. The first impression which is kinda the same as how much i enjoy watching it.
2. The technical difficulty which is how difficult the stunt is to perform and how much time it is likely to take.
3. The creative side which speaks for itself i guess.

For point 1 and 3, you guys killed those easily, as for the point 2 i'm not that experienced at judging these kinda stunts (i doubt i'm alone when it comes to that) so i have compare them to similar stunts i've seen before.
The stunts that didn't hit the top of that ladder was basically the stunts that didn't blow any barriers (some of the carstunt, 1 or 2 of the boatstunts, some of Neo's wallrides) as similar stunts has been done earlier and blowing barriers or checking out new possibilities which seems to be the theme of the video.
That's why i pointed out that there were a few who didn't quite do that, but for a video that long i guess it's impossible.
I'll try to shut up now even though i like this discussion as it takes up some good points

EDIT: You had to ruin it Sweet

To Max:

Stunting outside the box? Two-wheeled vehicles are foreign to Brulla  it was his element rather than anything else, Max! Same COULD be said for a lot of folk in this vid although Sam's rhino stuff was very nice to see. Neo's infernus-wallrides wasn't a surprise from him as he's done such things in the past (still good to watch of course).

This vid was unique because you had a bunch of unique stunters, make a unique video. Truth be told, some of you were already in your element. This wouldn't work with ANY random stunters, it had to be this selection (I feel Tackleberry would've fit right at home as well as he's also quite eccentric!)

Since it's about the same quality and only about 20mb smaller than the HQ version, I can't see a huge problem, I suggest just sticking with the HQ.  I'm sure Samurai will give you guys an update whether he will make a new render or not, soon.

Maybe he could release the audio in a seperate file, then people could use it together with the video file.

Yeah, would be much faster than rendering and uploading it again.

I took the time to demux (extract) the audio from the HQ version.
Follow the 5th step in the mkv tutorial for instructions on how to mux (merge) it with the mkv here: http://www.gtastunting.net/forums/index.ph...t=0&start=0

Here is the audio track (direct link as always) : http://rapidshare.com/files/122963747/audio.mp3

Mythic: He doesn't have to re-render/re-encode, just merge it with the audio.

Ok, that was really awesome, very different from stuff we've been seeing in the past months

The intro was simply hilarious, I loved the dancing scenes

The editing was great, I really like the parts when you started in the sky and went zooming in the stunter, like in the opener, this and the other transitions were really well done. I liked the song too, it flowed well along the video, and fitted te style of it.

Now... the stunts:
I don't know how difficult they are or how much time they took to be landed, they were great to see, and that's what's important, but some of them really stood out:
3:22 - Brulla's backwards caddy "grind"? Or did you went reversing on 2 wheels? I don't know, but it was awesome
3:28 - Dannye's bus grind That was...  First bus grind maybe? Great one, I mean... you grinded a thing in which you can drive a car on
4:22 - Kaneda's police car ramp2bump That was a really stylish bump
4:30 - Brulla's mini-plane stunt - OK, that was just fucking GREAT, who would think of using a minigame vehicle to stunt?
4:49 - Samurai's jeep grind - I've been trying something in that spot with a PCJ, but you pulled off an amazing stunt with that car, great one
4:56 - Brulla's grind at the pool - ... just...  Very nice idea
5:29 - Dannye's huge tank stunt - I didn't really know where you were going to stop, you crossed halp of the island with the tank, and did that huge (double) bump at the end, awesome one
6:50 - Brulla's caddy stunt at the studio island - Hah, you found a really nice way to use that police cars with the caddy
7:10 - Brulla's hunter grind - OK... that was the master one  nothing more to say
Brulla's finisher - Well... it was the finisher, the jump at the end was one of the coolest things ever

Overall opinion? One of the bests, if not the best video of the year so far, a great watch, and I watched it 3 times in a row so far

10/10
