Why not 9800?

Why 9800?
Its the lastest one out and its better..

So what you're saying is because it's new you should buy it?

I have one word for not getting the latest and greatest hardware and that is price.

I myself could've bought 9800, could've bought two when I was upgrading my computer but why would I spend a bit more money when I got two of the BFG 8800 GTS 512MB OC and a 700W power supply for the single price of one 9800. I only use one of my cards at the moment and I run every game to date at max. I don't see me needing the second card yet for a long time, so I put it in my dads computer. To be honest it's a waste of money buying a 9800 at the moment as a cheaper card runs all the games necessary and probably does a similar job. Don't always need to go for the latest and most expensive stuff to get the best out of a computer because sooner or later there will be even more expensive and more powerful hardware being released.

Well said Technogeek - another thing:

- Graphiccards have hardware features, right now DX10 is still very new and the cards are still slow at using it (same with OGL3 in the near future), its probably better to get a slightly older card right now (like the 8800) for a lower price and then upgrade it onces its necessary (new hardware features) - which could take a few month, if not years.
