you should also set the resolution your screen requires (in windows and if possible in any game which is supporting it). The resolution it was made for is usually somewhere in the instruction book, on the package it came in or you have to find it yourself (Its usually 1024x768, 1280x1024 or these other widescreen resolutions I always forget about )With the correct resolution, the picture should be really sharp. This is because LCD Displays have an given amount of "pixels"/crystals unlike CRT which use a ray and therefore can display as many pixels as you want.
