Well, I think I have pretty good quality, and mine is not quite that expensive. I bought mine complete with a remote, case, etc. for about $12 on ebay.

GameBridge.

I'll go take a few in-game pics real quick and upload them so you can see the quality.

And as for recording fps and stuff, you can go to my most recently made video (GTA4) at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1zniWBdhIA

Or, just go to http://www.youtube.com/22v and look for anything made on a console.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post. But yeah, it's called the Adaptec Gamebridge and they're great little devices. They are dirt cheap ($10) and have great quality for the price. I mean, you're not going to get like uber HD recording like the more expensive ones, but hell, I like it =]

That seems like a reasonable option there Fate, I just looked at some reviews of it and people seem to like it overall. I'm not adept at searching for items to buy on the internet, as trying (briefly) to do so for this product (especially when restricted to Aus) seemed difficult, especially when looking for such a relatively low price.

Wow $10 is great!
My device was a bit more expensive and has worth quality - but I doubt its the capture device.
It seems that the videocard in the xbox is giving bad PAL video signals - atleast its all flickering in red, green, blue all time. It also sucks on the TV. I wish I had bought an NTSC console.

But mhh $10 - if I have money left after buying a new PC I will write a quick review on how this thing worked with PAL consoles..

//Edit: Where did you buy it Fate? It is 119 euro on the german Amazon...

Dang man, prices have raised! I guess they stopped making them (after doing some reading). So yeah, I guess that isn't a good option, seeing as they are up to like $50. But, if you want to play GTA4 on your monitor while browsing GTAS at the same time, it's your only option =D
