ive seen the gameplay review..

and i think its awesome, i would never know how much i will like it once i get to try it

but looking at the videos comin out each day,
the graphics is outstanding, although the geometric appearance of peds arent really perfect, the environment was breath taking
new features eagers me to play it, like the multiplayer online, new game physics, and to try out stunting too

i just want to know, if there are animals in gta4, are there?
and also about the internet thingy, was it really a feature that lets you surf while in-game?

No animals that I've seen, but I'm guessing fishies will make an appearance.

On the stunting front, I'm of the opinion that stunting won't be quite as dynamic as it is in VC. Bikes seem to be quite clunky and you have very little control of them once airborne. I haven't tinkered too much in this department, but so far it strikes me as being SA type stunts. Also, the cities tend to be very cluttered and curbs are actually curbs this time out, rather than subtle deviations in height. Also a lot of stuff seems to be quite 'grabby' - cars in particular. It's very easy to get hung up on what you're attempting to use as stunt terrain. At the other end of the spectrum, bikes are very bouncy and spinny without any intentional direction from the player.

I suppose it's all getting used to the new game and it's own little nuances. For now I'll concentrate much more on playing than getting stunts no one will ever see.

In answer to an earlier question about replays, there are none. The 'replay' feature in GTA IV is actually a feature that lets you replay a mission should you fail it. A nifty feature, I must say.

Aye, I've failed a lot lol, you get a text asking if you wanna try again and you go straight back to where you'd get a cutscene for the start of a mission.

Interesting thing is that they're called 'replays'...they're in the stats as 'Replays used', or something. One wonders whether if there's a PC release, will it even HAVE replays.

I can't understand why they wouldn't incorporate replays (being the replays WE all know) into GTAIV, considering both platforms have HDD capabilities. I sometimes think that R*s attention to the replay element of the PC GTAs is becoming less and less important. Outside of players here, and the odd player who might make some goof-fest vid of some kind...who else would really employ the replay feature?

Also considering the fact that Halo 3 did it, and did such a good job at it, showing that it was something worth having even on consoles.

EDIT: I must admit, because of that (above), I really was hoping R* would do the same with this - imagine it, you could actually get some (relatively) decent quality videos, as only one person has to record, and doesn't have to do so while performing the stunt - and was kinda disappointed, although not too surprised, that they didn't.

From what I know about game code (Which is very little.) replay functions go hand and hand with online play. So if Rockstar does not employ a replay system on the PC version we should be able to create one.

I just finished "Bleed It Out".

Fucking amazing game. Me and sheikah16 have been having some fun online. Heres a tip : grab a grenade, hitchike a ride, hold the RT and it will start beeping, the person driving will wonder what the sound is, then BOOM, you both die.

Of course there is going to be a pc version. The pc market is much larger than that of Ps3 or 360 so if they denied pc users a version they would be morons  Sadly I'll never be able to play it with this comp and my mum reckons she's going to take it off me if i could play it anyway (RAWR! *Sad face*) so short of her not caring and a 360 suddenly appearing in my lounge I won't be able to play it for quite some time... So far it looks like this game is going to be thoroughly awesome and I can't wait to play it.
