Okay people, the knockout phase starts this thursday, May 29th! We already know most of the advanced competitors, so get ready. We'll know the rest by tuesday/wednesday.

For one week. But the final should've been settled by the 22nd, right? Unless the submission time is longer.

I think the deadline for the finale is exactly on the 22nd.

Shouldn't be a problem.

Will the points count anyhow in the future? Or are they over?

OK, big post time.

The GTASL group stages are now all wrapped up. The winners of each group has been determined, and now we go from 70-odd to 12. Here are the winners of each group:

GROUP 1: cola

Can be considered something of a shock, considering Raskal and DJ Marchello were also in the group. But cola fully-earned his top spot, and he is now a couple of victories away from the grand final.

GROUP 2: RedX

The most controversial of groups, which ended with Daffy and RedX tying on points. Daffy and others were unhappy at what was my idea of deciding tie-breakers with a head-to-head record. But RedX has done remarkably well to even put up a fight against the current stunter of the year for GTAS, and will perhaps use his massive upset victory to give him the confidence to advance further.

GROUP 3: VenomX

The first of two New Breed members to advance to the knock-outs, VenomX secured top spot on the final day and saw off Helios and Mythic as both finished strongly. Will want to avoid any big-air challenges as creativity is his method of stunting.

GROUP 4: godson

The only USS member to advance, godson was something of a late entrant. A tight group as there was only seven points seperating four stunters, godson ended top by beating closest challenger DriZzly in the final round. With USS trying to get back on its feet godson will be eager to do his best to represent them, and will be pushing hard to get to the final.

GROUP 5: Mr.Magic

Was initially dubbed the 'group of death', but it turned into a head-to-head between Magic and Dannye. Dannye was the only ATS member in the GTASL this year and won the second GTASL in that spectacular final with Brainkiller a couple of years ago, but Mr.Magic has been pretty strong, and had secured top spot before the final week was due to commence. Will be hoping to avoid his fellow NB member VenomX!

GROUP 6: Luky

Will represent WH in the knock-outs by edging past a determined challenge from Ruchy. A stunter who has impressed on the big stages of sorts (he certainly has for recent community videos), he'll be eager to shine here too and get to the final at least.

GROUP 7: sony

A pretty tight group, with donfikeegd and Knapman pushing hard to try and pip sony to top spot. Even though sony lost his final match with donfikeegd, he still finished top anyway. Will be eager to cause an upset or two.

GROUP 8: arKy

A group which was ruined by people dropping out, it ended with 4 stunters slugging it out for top spot. arKy's previous result against Rod went a long way to securing top spot.

GROUP 9: Crazy

A thrilling group which was decided when Crazy's clean-sweep victory against Domovla in the final match put him level with Domovla on points, and with a better head-to-head record advances. Charnel also has a decent run of form and was unlucky not to do better.

GROUP 10: KIDwild

Without a doubt he is the outsider to win, but he has done very well to win a group with tough opponents like Souzuk and morbidxxx. He will want to raise more eyebrows with another victory or two. Definitely keep an eye on how he does.

GROUP 11: SORT

A group riddled with controversy: Torque was unhappy with All(Beast)'s postings claiming he would intentionally let SORT win in their final match together to make sure SORT would advance, giving Torque no chance. While All(Beast) did submit an entry nothing can be proved, so while Torque's frustrations are understandable we cannot deny SORT top spot which he earned through other wins such as him beating Torque and WaRoW, who both pushed hard too for top spot. SORT will want to make sure the controversy surrounding his achievement is left behind in the knock-outs.

GROUP 12: Tackleberry

With a maximum score, he will head into the knock-outs as favourite. The sole TMS representative, the other was also in Group 12, KillaMarci (ok, Nuc is in TMS as well, but joined after GTASL started hehe). Can combine creativity and 'big' stunts, but has yet to really be tested yet. The knock-outs will hopefully prove if he has what it takes to win the GTASL.

Congratulations to all 12, and I hope you are ready and dedicated to seeing this through to the very end.

Sweet's pathetic attempt at trying to salvage something from this GTASL by wishing to say 'At least I got my arse kicked by the eventual winner'?
