Alrighty then, time to rant my hairy Scottish nipples off.

The format this GTASL has been in is a first considering the set-up of the previous GTASLs. Nobody had actually done it as a league format before, so things like points suddenly meant a lot more. Because of a lot of obstacles, like the no-shows, drop-outs etc, we've had to think on our feet and try to adjust the rules as we went on. Suddenly, after the first week or two, we had to come up with how many points someone should get if their opponent doesn't even show - so even though we didn't cover that at the start of the GTASL, we thought on our feet and did what we thought was the fairest option, to award the stunter who showed up 4 automatic points while deducting two points from the no-show.

With more no-shows, some by BOTH participants in a match, things seemed to get stretched even more! We were thankful MOST in each section were being serious enough to keep things going. I did discuss the matter of a draw between two participants at the top, and mentioned it would be resolved by their head-to-head record, whoever came out on top of their match. At the time we were discussing WaRoW, Torque, All(Beast) and SORT's group, Group 11, and saying that if WaRoW and SORT ended up being tied that SORT would advance on a better head-to-head record.

We have given participants plenty of opportunity to try their damn best, giving extensions when needed and re-shuffling matches to suit those who were not available to compete. At times we are needing to make it up as we go along as new problems arise. What do you fucking expect? I ask everyone involved in this year's GTASL to please try your best, and let the organisers also do their best to keep the wheels in motion.

Maybe it has been asked, but I can't understand the half of Kingjad's posts
When will the SL continue? Will be there any break before the new matches posted?

stop being whiny kingjad; it's happened in all previous stunt leagues and there isn't any reason why it wouldn't happen here.

Its just unfortunate that it has more of an impact in this style of league.

We RELY on people turning up for this more than the previous GTASLs. Before, if someone didn't turn up, the next person advanced, no points system to worry about. I still feel having it as a league format is far more exciting and entertaining but we were foolish to expect 72 stunters to keep their word and make sure to compete. Expect around half that for next GTASL should me and Brulla still be in charge.

It's a long way away, so let's not worry about that for now. Let's try and get through the current GTASL first!

Btw, I'll say this right now - it'll be random selection who plays who in the knock-outs. I will generate 12 different numbers, 1-12, and the order they come out in, those will be the matches. I also plan to basically keep it like that, so for example:

4 vs 2
3 vs 12
11 vs 7
9 vs 10
1 vs 6
8 vs 5

If it is drawn out in that manner, and remember this is just an example, then for the round after that it would be:

4 or 2 vs 3 or 12
11 or 7 vs 9 or 10
1 or 6 vs 8 or 5

AND THAT WOULD MEAN the final would be whoever wins each of those 3 matches. 3-way final, baby! We're still coming up with more challengers, and trying to think of something special and unique for the grand final.

OK, here's what we've decided for the knock-outs.

There are 5 judges now who will decide who gets the votes for the knock-out matches, the other 5 we're thankful to for their efforts during the group stages but the knock-outs are only 6 matches for one week, 3 matches the next week and then the final so we should be ok now.

We have hand-picked 9 cool and unused challenges specially for the knock-outs, so no random weird stunt challenges for a potentially big match.

There is no points system obviously, so first person with 3 votes advances.

It will be a 3-way final. 12 participants, one on one, that'll go down to 6 participants, meaning 3 different matches, winner of each advances to grind final where we have a super-special unique challenge.

If you don't show up for your match, the other person advances, wonderfully simple.

All decisions from the judges are final, if anyone has a problem with it then fuck off, nobody cares about you.

And remember, if for some reason you cannot compete, let us fucking know! The stunters who finished 2nd in their groups can take the place for you. But we must be informed before the match is to take place so we're all prepared.

I assume everyone will be fine though for those who advanced to the knock-outs, you made it this far so I'm sure you will all be eager for an opportunity for eternal glory

The plan sounds good KJ, nice work you and the rest of the guys involved with judging/organisation. I'm looking forward to seeing these challenges, and what kind of the stuff the stunters can pull off!
