On GTAS, Nitz was first at least. These guys, not sure when they started it. It wasn't a one-off idea though for a map mod of San Andreas, a lot of people thought of it and wished it. Nitzkit was one of a few who went further and tried to make it into a reality. But obviously, others were going to attempt it too.

It matters not who was first. What matters is that people accept it, and enjoy using whatever map mods they prefer.

By the sounds of things I'm going to prefer VA. It'll be a smaller download and have all the tools I want it for anyway, none of this mission and vehicle hoo-hah.

I get a unhandled exception error 1/4ths of the way through when loading a new game.

Edit2: Does anyone else have their game crash when they try to view a replay?

When I spawn (after starting it) I'm standing in some kind of "blue hell". There's nothing but Tommy on the screen.

There's no extra crap right now, as far as I know.

I'm with Haywire and everyone else who think that this mod is a lame try to make something like VA.

I believe that VA will be as much user friendly as it can be, for example: Simple map without any confusing missions for smooth stunting purposes, Simple PCJ and Packer spawn points around the map like in LC mod, Dannye's SCM, No confusing Model changing and Data changing (this should be done by Mod creators)...


I don't say this mod is bad itself, it's great that it came out first. (even if it's a beta, but you could have made the full version and not rush it so fast).

The only serious things that stop me from using this mod is that it make me to change some things and download some patches. Also, I can't stand Spoosh, it's freaking annoying tool for me when I want to stunt.

I fully respect your opinion THEFTman, but the release of this beta was just to get the annoying bugs [which are still there, of course we are still fixing them up] fixed, before the final release...
