This is the problem;

When I try to open my Sony Vegas file I get this error:

I have tried to reinstall if a few times without any result. When I just push Ja, nothing happens. I allready searched around and found some things I could try but I had this before and solved it much easier. So maybe anyone knows how to deal with this in an easy way..??

Yea dude, sony vegas is really gay, i got it, wanted to edit, it showed me damn load of errors lol.
Use 7.0 lol

I have 8.0 Pro, never had any problems. My guess would be it has something to do with your Sony Media Manager.

If you would be so kind to translate the error I could look into it further.

Go into your windows Temp files folder and delete upsell.htm would be my guess

the 20% in the file name means nothing, the location of the file is

C:/DocumentsandSettings/RobbertSnijder/LocalSettings/Temp/udat/upsell.htm

So either go there a manually delete the file upsell.htm Or use windows search and look for the file and delete any instances of it.

If that doesent fix it let me know, it might just say another file screwed something up again.

Allready tried that, but no result. Though I could open the file before, and it had something to do with the registration of Sony Vegas.

Telling him to get the 7th version isnt really helping his problem.

Anyway, i get that error with other programs (Not Vegas), and i fixed it by cleaning out my temporary files folder.

Yeah I really hate Vegas 8.

I downloaded it to do my school project in and I spent 7 hours fucking working on it the night before it was due. It was midnight and all I needed to do was render it.

Whenever I tried rendering it, it always froze half way or crashed during the process. I would wait 20 mins over and over again just to have it crash. I tried all types of render settings, I tried WMV, AVI and even MPEG, but the stupid shit kept crashing.

If you want to know how my project went: I ended up saving it as a 10MB LQ file its a 4 min long video. By the time I finally got it rendered it was 4:30 AM and I had just 2 hours before school started.
