Question About Player Modding
« on: January 07, 2008, 08:45:56 PM »
Well, I found a player model that I like but when I tried to put it into Vice City it wouldn't work because it was a GTA3 Player model. Is there a way to convert the model so that it's compatible with Vice City?

When I go to select the player skin the model rotates as if it was lying down horizontally, and when I go to start the game it crashes.

Is there any way I can fix this?

I think you should just extract GTA 3's player.dff and .txd from gta3.img and add replace them with Vice City's player.dff and .txd in gta3.img. Now those are two separate gta3.img's, one for LC and one for VC!

Ya thats what I tried first

The game crashes though when I try to start it up and the player model rotates weird when changing the skin. (like he's lying down)
