what do you mean for those who dont know theory? How would you have posted it in musical form instead of in tab form? Tab is 100x easier. I enjoy tapping the most, I tap a lot. (on the guitar)

Theory doesnt exactly mean sheet music, but for example, I explained it in the sense, that I named the note names, the key, if it was major or minor, and the timing signature (for those who know theory like I do), which I forgot to mention (4/4 for this case) and posted a tab for those who dont.

Sounds good man. I broke a string yesterday and bought a new set today, only for the new one to also break for no reason. I'm so pissed off right now.

How do you re-string? Because usually 99% of all tuning and string breakage problems are either from, not stringing your strings correctly, or sharp saddles.

I'm gonna try to get my first electric in march (we get income taxes then ) and I was wondering what was a good starting one.

Knowing your music taste, I think this one would be a nice starting one for you

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-RG2EX1-...115-i1167867.gc

Basswood body
24 frets
thin fast neck
fixed bridge (no messy Floyds to deal with at the moment)

but honestly if you gave me a price range, I'll be able to give you a more accurate description.

What kind of guitars does everyone have?

I've got a Gibson SG Standard, Schecter Tempest Custom, and a Takamine EG561-C

As far as songs go... I've kinda grown out of the whole learning songs, like I guess it's fun when you first start playing but I personally feel more satisfied when I write my own stuff. I've played a bunch of shows with a couple different bands with different styles so I just feel a little bit bored learning songs now.

Does anybody else play shows?

I honestly don't know my price range, as that is the money from income taxes and we never know how much we get. but 300 should be good, I hope.

Haha, Eric, that's the exact same guitar I have right now. I love it. Only it's black.

I'm just starting to get real with playing guitar as of late. And yeah I wanted to ask for recommendations on an actual decent electric guitar, around the 300 dollar price range if possible. I will probably be playing metal more than anything else. That Ibanez is looking pretty good.
