The one on the right was my first guitar, some FirstAct. I don't know specifically. The black one on the left is an Ibanez RG2EX1. I bought it about 2 weeks ago, it's been great since. It's not exactly the best view of it lol. I'm buying a used amp soon, since my old one is nothing special.

I'm currently playing an Epiphone Les Paul Junior, quite the nice little toy for the money I got it for, and since I'm in a rough spot at home (divorce and all) it keeps me occupied.

Mike, I love how the JS1200 looks.  I'm currently playing a Yamaha ERG-121, my first guitar .

Is anybody in a band?

I can see Mike has some money

I'm not a big fan of the V style guitars, they're very awkward in my opinion

Awkward indeed. I tried a few of those guitars, you pretty much either gotta stand or have it sit upwards in order to play them.... for me, they just slip out of my lap. How do you manage, Mike?

its getting used to the classical position, its really easy, I've played V's a lot in Guitar Center so I'm used to it.

If you're gonna be playing metal, I say Alder, Basswood can be EQ'd down to fit a nice metal profile, but Alder not only being a classic tone wood has the versatility that basswood doesnt have, basswood is more for shred and neoclassical, but i'd choose Mahogany if I had the chance.

When I play my V sitting down I have the middle of the V resting on my right upper leg and I sort of clinch my legs together to keep it stable. The neck is on an angle instead of horizontal obviously which is something I've gotten used to and I find quite comfortable. Otherwise I just play standing.

I'm looking for a certain Metallica tab... but I don't know the name of the song. I heard it on the radio a few days ago, but they never said the name. The only thing I remember was this part.

-----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
--14-14-14--10-10-10--8-8-8--6-6-6--------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------

I doubt that's actually the correct tab, but it sounds similar to that. Play it pretty fast, in sets of 3 (of course). Any help would be appreciated.
