Guitar(ist) Thread

Hey, haven't seen one of these around so I thought I'd make one.

Basically anyone who plays guitar can talk about what they're learning to play, what they're playing at the moment, post riffs they have written or clips of them playing or whatever, or ask for tips from other guitarists on the forums. Oh and talk about gear, give advice on guitar buying, disscuss the best guitarists and such.

Right now I've just learned to play all of In the Fire by Roadrunner United. Gonna learn Cemetary Gates by Pantera soon.

Shred away!

I'm learning War by Burzum. Got the intro perfect in about 15 minutes. Finished learning I Could Care Less by Devildriver. Can play it perfectly with the song now.

meh, I haven't played my eletric guitar for like 1 year now, I prefer my acoustic one.

There isn't any song I couldn't play tbh, but the songs I like are kinda simple, so...

Rod, upload some clips of you playing .

I've had a guitar for about a year now, never really taken any lessons or made a massive effort to lean it, but do play it when I'm bored.  Had it repaired, cleaned, polished, set up, and new strings/knobs put on today, so its as good as new .

Dude, I'm exactly the same. I'm trying to diversify with some modes and stuff at the moment. Harmonic minor is my favourite scale right now (not a mode, but still).

I bought a electric guitar like 2/3 months ago and took lessons. I'm learning Fall To Pieces - Velvet Revolver now.
