I am just wondering what all of you guys use to capture movies, edit them, and what tools you use to compress your movies? I am just wondering what everybody else uses.

Everyone uses Fraps to capture footage.

I don't know anything about compression. As for the editing, there are many editing programs like:

Vegas 4
Vegas 5
Windows Movie Maker 1 & 2
Premier

you get the picture.

i personally use the Ulead Videostudio series. Cool interface, works for stunt videos

I used pinnacle and it is the worst editor ever :veryverymad: it sucks so much. Use wmm2, ulead, or video vegas.

If your just starting, you wanna use Ulead or Windows Movie Maker. If you have experience, try Video Vegas, and if you think your god, try adobe premier.

Adobe Premier is EXTREMELY hard.
Vegas Video 5.0 / 4.0 is easy and great.

What are you talking about, man ?
For me it's much easier than Ulead - I'm still understanding nothing in it.

And Pinnacle sucks - i agree with that.

I'm still using WMM, it gives pretty good results fairly quickly, Unlike Premier which took me forever to do much at all.
