hi,
i am new to stunting on the pc and using fraps i record the replays. But when i open them up they are over 32mb. How and what do i use to compress it all

i recommend searching Google for any Honestech video compressing software. I used to use it back in the day, works gr8 :)

You can also compress your video clips with "Windows Movie Maker" (which comes with Windows XP) or with a program called "Virtual Dub". There are a lot of compressing tools out there...

I use virtualdub sometimes i compress with the 3IVX codec, does the movie a hell alot smaller, than you exept.  :D

i guess it's really just a matter of trying pretty much everything else and finding your favourite tool, then sticking with it until something better comes along

You could always do what I do get Techsmith Camtasia Studio and save your movie there as AVI with Microsoft Video 1 Codec and do 100% will only take a few mins then take that into WMM and resave it :D

Virtual Dub is the best option imo but you will lose some image quality in the process.
Quality is more important than size imo so i wouldn't recommend that you compress some of your footage until your movie is finished.

Microsoft MM is good, but you have to lower the quality quite considirably. Either way, I'd find some better program.

WMM is best compressing software :D It hasn't usage if you doesn't compress with it  B)
