Im doing the same shit. Dual 8800 Ultra's, 6800 quad core, 8 gigs of the best ram. Those 3 alone will run me about 3k, but it will be worth it.

An old Athlon XP of mine ran at 120C in SANDRA, which shouldnt be possible but meh.

Dont go with Dual monitors, they're annoying. Invest in something even bigger, put it back into the hardware, or save it.

Dual monitors are actually very useful as I've found out. I was never really into the dual monitor thing but when my mum got her new computer there was a spare LCD, so I took it and I can now just dump programs like MSN, skype, my mp3 folder, cpu/gpu temp programs etc. on it and I can access everything while still in-game. It's also handy doing photoshop work having all your pics on one screen and editing them on the other, or editing a video and having your secondary monitor as a preview window so you have more space to edit. I use a 22" and a 17" so it's not really overkill and I got the LCD for free anyway, so why not lol.
