« on: October 09, 2007, 11:15:27 AM »
OK, Its nearing my Birthday (Just under a month, 8th Novermber) and so i need some help.

I Need to get a new PSU Badly, My system is soo slow.

I Have a AMD ATHLON 64 3200+ and a Nvidia Geforce GFX Card (7200 I Think).

What PSUs would be good for that. And if i got a new one, Would i need new cooling ?

Thanks.

Why would you blame your PSU for your computer being slow?

A computer can be very fucked if you don't have enough power going everywhere. For gaming PC's you want at LEAST 400w.

Exactly. My currennt is an ATX - 400 which is obviously 400w. However its ran on 3 seperate PCs, All of which were ALOT Better than mine.

Feron, Could i find that on Ebay ? I Searched and it came up with a HX620

TBH, it does happen but not really frequently.. Check your current comp specs and do a power supply calculator.. You can just google it and one should come up.. Then if the power reqs exceed your current power supply, then there's a good chance that thats the problem.. If not, then I think that you might be better off spending your money on a new processor..

Blaze, i'm using a coolermaster 650w Extreme Power Duo, costs like £78 and supports a lot of stuff, even has 2 6pin rails for 8800 gfx cards
