Internet Problem
« on: July 30, 2007, 02:44:52 AM »
Well basically i got on my pc one day and wanted to go dl the new internet explorer 7.0.
so i did, installed, and restarted. i did every step. but then i notice that Internet 7.0 aint installed, and i can only use the normal internet. i then go into the internet, and it works normal. (my start page on internet is GTAS)

But then i go into the URL bar and type www.google.com and it fucks up. internet creates a new 'Microsoft Internet Explorer' blank page and the one i typed google in fucks totally . i have to force shut everything. only way i can get to other pages than GTAS is to type a hyperlink in msn. and now i cant do that anymore for some reason. i tried system recovery but it didnt work.
i can only be on gtas. and also the icon for internet explorer is the icon when the file is 'removed' but i can still use it.
and also i cant dl anything.

Any computer genious' that would help me?

Does it do so only with google? Anyway you could ask someone the setup for FF.. by msn or not?

Try also to remove cache and cookies from ie..

You click tools from ie, then internet options. "remove files" or so n you're set.

Don't know if it will fix..

It should have asked you once you started ie if was the main browser.  Anyway, you can check that by
formulations approached the programs in the start menu.

This is an odd one. I really got no clue but when you installed 7.0 did you allow it to DL the updates for it? It should have promted you to. Also, did you choose custom installation or just go with the general one? Reason I ask is that sometimes "other" things will get put on your PC, like google tool bars and crap that may give ya a problem. When all else fails I'd say system restore but you said you tried? Maybe go back further in time, like a week or two and see if that get's rid of it.
