LOL GIZMONDO, CD-I, PHANTOM, FAMICOM v1, JAGUAR, ...

you are informed so deadly wrong... there have been consoles which havent been working at release where you had to buy the case only for a few dollars and then the motherboard came 5 years later or never and it was crap...

Yeah but the thing is there haven't been a single console before 360 that had have so many complaints. It doesn't really seem like a coincidence to me that all the "idiots" report problems with this particular console.
There also havent been consoles as complex as the 360 or the PS3, they are basically like PC's now and cant be shoved under your dirty clothes and left on for days straight. Im sure the manuals are LOADED with shit like "keep in well ventalated area" etc etc.

So we shouldn't treat consoles like hookers? Wow, this changes everything!

Still not sure which console to get btw

Yeah true I suppose. Thank you, makes the decision a bit easier.

@Fox: I never had a problem with the NES, or any other of my previous consoles, and the rest I've barely heard of.

Edit: But then there's the issue with exclusive games. I'm a big fan of Tekken, Soul Calibur and God of War. But I heard somewhere that the exclusives for PS3 would come for the 360 aswell, is this true?

Fraudatio:

The Famicom - First Release Edition was kinda prototype released to the public in china just before the final version of it. It wasnt able to play all games released for it (seemed to depend on luck) and when you turn it on there was smoke coming out of the back sometimes.

The CD-I was one of the worst consoles ever imo. The games sucked and the thing crushed the CDs really often.. Also it had to fight with clipping bugs all of the time, text was unreadable cause it disappeared behind a character... (also randomly)

The jaguar... lol... the developers moved back to the older atari consoles cause the processors (it had 2 (called Tom & Jerry)) have been crashing really often. Also the sound and video ran out of sync often...

The gizmondo (handheld btw)...  support for pixel shader, vertex shader, ... Processor at 400mhz (its better than the PSP!)
And guess what? They forgot to add support the GPU etc to be programmable for the programmers, meaning they could not update the firmware, not make any good looking games etc. In the end there have been about 25 games released. Please keep in mind that there have been announced 250 before its release

M$ payed shitload to made rockstar get exlusive episodes for the xbox360. Ps3 got online aswell but you cant download new episodes. thats all.

I'd rather play it on a console that doesn't crash almost EVERY day. 3 of my mates have X360's and they almost every day crash while they play a game.

Yup, deathbox 360 overheats loads.

But

PCs > all

YO THIS THING YOU HAVE IN TEH SAME ROOM AS YOUR PC CAN DO PRACTICALLY ALL YOUR PC CAN DO, ONLY THE GAMES LOOK A LITTLE WORSE, THE INTERNET IS SLOWER, THE HARD DRIVE IS SMALLER!!!

Consoles these days are just a step down from PCs and the reason they cost so much is because they are packing the console with shitloads of PC features...so whats the point in buying a  'crappy'  pc when you could just have a killer PC.

if you get what i mean
