since the crash my pc has worked fine ...UNTIL NOW!!! it seems to be ignoring the fact that my net is working...it sais theres no connection tho i no there is because i can get on via my psp or ps3 ...does any1 know why this is and or how i can fix it?...il mention that deuring the crash it decided to reinstall win xp incase that helps ... please some 1... i have to know!!!?? :'(

I have been that same problem too in these last months. It wont go to any site, and says that theres no internet connection. But theres is, i just have turned my ADSL off and back on and then it works fine. But cant help more than that

I guess you could start with the easy stuff. Reboot, I sometimes have to do this. Unplug your modem, let that reboot. There's also a program called Network Diagnostics on your PC. Try that if all else fails. Goto the start menu, click on Help and Support, this will open a new window. Where it says "Pick A Task" click on the "Use tools to.........." on the left under tools will be Network Diagnostics.

Try disabling your anti-virus program, then checking the internet again. If it works, then you've either got a problem with your AV, and you need to get a new one or play around with the settings a bit...I know Norton has this problem a lot.

Hmm weird.. Though I'm pretty sure your anti-virus or firewall might be the problem.

well i had tried most of those problems...tho i just figured it out all i have to do is i reinstall my modem to pc lmao...but i gota wait untill my mum gets home xD ... its allways the modem for me ... i duno why
