Yeah, the title's so interesting..  

Yesterday i was playing with vc, from about half an hour. Suddenly.. *bang* i heard a kind of explosion from the case. It was the cd of my game which was broken in pieces.. is it possible? ever happened to you guys? Now i think i have to "open" the computer and take out some pieces remained. (i took out most of cd) What a mess..

Its plausible but the cd must had been in a bad condition.

Yeah the cd was VERY old.. but it's so weird.. now the drive doesn't want to close.   Never heard it was possible to happen.. wtf i hope it'll return ok..

same thing happened to my pal...
'cept the cd wasn't old...he was having it in his PC for 6 hours and blam!!!
bastard destroyed my CD.

Yea I had that happen to a Tribes 2 disc (thank god 2 Tribes 2 sucks) It damn near ruined my drive.
