You got what I said. They're all for it. So let's give them what they want. I'm not talking about erasing all the country, only the main one, Kim blabla. Innocents have nothing to do here

Don't simplify the dilemma here, MxZz. I get where you're coming from with that opinion but it doesn't really work that way. The problem with this is the desperation that has grown within North Korea for the past decade. They have weapons (and they have an army) capable of a lot of destruction and the rest of the world is trying to avoid the use of these. North Korea has burnt all their bridges. They have been threatening other nations to the limit where they longer have any allies. The leaders of North Korea have dug their own graves but this doesn't mean the US can just run in and level the nation into one large parkingspace.

Kim Jong Un knows he can't win this but that doesn't mean he is powerless. Desperation clouds the judgement and if the US, Russia or China decide to go in nothing will stop him from pushing the button with a clean conscience. And don't underestimate nuclear power. Maybe he won't reach the US but aim one for Seoul and plenty of people are going to die. That has to be avoided. They've burnt their bridges and they're running out of resources. Soon they'll make the first move and the rest of the world will go in and settle this.

Maybe I'm just rambling but those are my thoughts.

They are just a band of communist brains washed who search only to experiment their cheap and valueless soviet weapons on the nearby countries.

I was like scrolling down on this page like not really paying attention and letting my eyes slide over the replies thinking this was the private section, I nearly stabbed myself in the throat when I saw your name here before I realized that this was Ask WH

What do you think about North Korea?
I pretty much agree with these guys's observations.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24R8JObNNQ4#ws

I'm sorry for bringing this up in the thread, but I've been reading, watching documentaries and studying a lot about North Korea.
They won't let anyone outside see a truth about what's happening in other cities out there, because it's just horrible. Only Pjongjang looks more of a city because of higher rank officials and people worshiping the whole Kim family as if they are gods.

I find them quite oldschool. Funny aswell. They will loose. Just go in the south / leave the country. :P

If you knew the oppression of people rights there you wouldn't say so. They just can't leave the country because it would mean an instant death sentence if they would get caught. I'm not saying only Kims are the cause, it's just gotten to a point where officials completely ignore their nation as long as they are feeding their ego. I also suggest you to watch this one (made more than 13 years ago, but I hardly believe the situation is at least slightly better):

North Korea - Children of The Secret State

I mean, people deserve to live better, and they can. The possibilities with open borders and free market in the country would be immense. Just imagine millions of people who are keen to work and get bigger funds for it.
And the question so I can stay more or less on topic: Would you rather risk your and your family life and try to flee from the country or you'll be bowing down to a dictator all your life considering such ferocious conditions?

It's a hard question to answer since we are all from civilised countries without any educational/media limits and we are aware of things. If I was a single kid and my parents wouldn't try escaping before then I think I would give it a shot if they said it's a good call, but from my current perspective of having sister it would have to be both of us or just her alone since I think I wouldn't be able to stand it otherwise. Of course it's easier said than done, I honestly have no idea how would it look if it actually happend. I suppose that people there are very limited as for the circulation of information and scrared as hell, so they might not even know that better life conditions might exist, george orwell in 1984 shows quite similar situation, propaganda does it.

That last cigarette after you've quit..

It's a warm summer evening, the sun is still up and you've just finished your 12-hour shift. You're going to meet up with friends but first, my oh my, it's time for your date with mr.c for the first time in weeks..

You pick a silent park preferably with an ocean view, the only sound is some distant seaguls. Even tough it's hard, you try to keep down that euforic excitement since you know the feeling is going to be that much more intense when you're relaxed.

You look around. You're all alone in your warm and cozy wonderland of nicotine-joy.

It's time..

You pick up that yellow camel. You look at it. Smell it. Placing it perfectly between those longing lips.
The lighter fires up on the very first click, and you gently place the fire at the tip of the cigarette.

You take a shallow puff to get it going and another, deeper, one to prepare your body. Those first two puffs never tasted any good but right here, right now, you just don't care. The third puff really warms you up from the inside and you start to feel tingly in your fingers.

Taking two slow and deep breaths of air between each puff you make sure you get the most pleasing experince possible.

By the sixth puff you've got a warm, tingly felling in your stomach. Every muscle is completely relaxed. Closing your eyes, you keep going.

Now your toes start to tingle. Your face is on fire. That fuzzy ball of warmth in your belly just keeps growing. Every part of your body screams for more.. You barely manage to lift your arm anymore. No worries exist, no pressures. Your shoulders are hanging down next to your hips. You take a few last puffs to top the sensation a little bit more.

It's time to put it out..

And then you just sit there. Still no one is around you, but you wouldn't have cared anyway. You open your eyes and the world seem like a more frindly place.
You stay another five minutes. Not really looking at anything. Not really thinking about anything.

You've just had the best 15 minutes of the day and you feel empowered to keep going.

Best poetry I've ever written, reread y'all!

Remember kids, smoking is cool and you're most definately not a man if you don't smoke  :ajaja:

ps: Don't ever start to smoke, once you get the hang of it you won't stop. And you'll blame yourself (or me lol)  :euro:
