I think that sounds like a very nice plan. Makin money and pursuing your dream at the same time. Good luck.  And garbage men make shitloads of money here aswell. But it's probably not that much compared to the norweigan ones as you barely pay any tax at all compared to us.

@Ralle: Female soccer generally owns male imo, it's usually much more action-packed.

40 000 NOK is about €5000.

How the hell can they earn that much, Daffy? Sounds like Norway is wasting its oil money on giving big cash to slackers.

Temporary slacker in my case
Though i've been thinking if i get a job as that, just to continue doing it and keep video editing as a hobby as i'll have oceans of time for it and i get to pick whatever i wanna create instead of making some lame commercial for a company i dislike.
I don't get why it pays so good, 40.000 is max though... i'll probably make somewhere between 27.500 and 30.000 when/if i start, there's a bonus because it's a unsanitary job and those kinda things but it still amazes me that you can push a garbage can to a car and then place it back for 4-5 hours each day and make more than the average doctor who probably went to school 4-5 years more than me.

Then again, don't you think a job should be something you enjoy (since it's a big part of life), instead of just something you do to get a lot of money? But if I understand right you don't plan to do it your entire life, so it's a pretty good start I guess.

Well i enjoy editing videos, but i also edit videos i'll enjoy watching.
If i get a job as a video editor, i'd probably have to edit a lot of commercials for ridiculous products.
I enjoy physical work and spending a couple of hours outside every day so why not do that for a couple of hours daily and have the rest of the day to do whatever i feel like with.
I'm fully aware that's not the sexiest job and neither does it require lots of brain activity but going out to do something where all i have to be able to is coordinate my legs and arms sounds like somewhat of a relief as i'm the kinda person who can't help thinking about plans, what i'm going to do, what i should have done and that kinda stuff all day... pushing a trash-can sounds like a timeout from that for a change.
...maybe i'm weird (probably) but i find that very appealing to me

I really agree!

And about Daffy's work and all that stuff, his work sounds like a great idea. Work 4-6 hours a day, get pretty much money and spend the money on what you like and you can enjoy your life anyway with a kind of shitty job

Also i'm looking around for some mediocre job, being one of those who picks up the trash is one of my ideas as they make a shitload of money (about 40.000 NOK monthly) and their work day is between 4 to 6 hours every day and they get off at like 12 in the morning.
Whoa, Norway is awesome! I wouldn't mind working there for a year or two just to build up a good pile of money.

But Daffy, if it now is that well-paid, do you think you will be able to get a job in that area? If it doesn't require any education and it's as good as you say, the competition should be pretty big.

Sorry that I'm stuck in this topic.

Well there's several ways to approach it i think, if i do it through the proper channels i have a chance.
Hell if i do it right, i can get the state to pay for a truck driving license which is pretty neat to have.
It's kinda semi-popular as most people think it's dirty and it won't get them laid and all that but you won't see any ads for available jobs there... you gotta show interest so they'll contact you when there's a spot.

Hopefully within the next month or two, i'll buy a place to live for the money i did inherit from my mom.
Also i'm looking around for some mediocre job, being one of those who picks up the trash is one of my ideas as they make a shitload of money (about 40.000 NOK monthly) and their work day is between 4 to 6 hours every day and they get off at like 12 in the morning.
With the spare time i'll have then, i'll use to make web-designs, take pictures and edit videos which i'll put up on a internet site where all my work will be and i will send video-editing and design companies a link to that site to try to get a job later on within digital design/editing so i don't have to pick up the trash or whatever for the rest of my life.

That means you cal look through people's trash right? Sweeeeet. My friend once found a vibrator in his neighbours trash can. Thing is, the only people that live there is the father and his 10 year old daughter.
