To do this you will require
[/li][li] GTA: Vice City[/li][li] Autodesk 3D Studio Max (Link Below)[/li][li] Kam's GTA Tools for 3ds max (Link Below)[/li][/list]3D Studio Max 9 30 Day Trial
    Kam's GTA Tools for Max
    Kam's GTA Tools Mirror 1 - Thanks storm_lexer!
Hey Everyone! This is my VERY Plain Simple NOOBIE Player Model Rig Tutorial for Vice City...now I've only shown thumbnails to clear up space and under is a caption that is a summary of what each picture says...
    Enjoy!

    1.
Open your model, open Kam's IFP IO

    2.
Click Import DFF and open player.dff (Original), Goto the Editable Mesh (by Vertex) and select all of player.dff's verts

    3.
Delete the selected verts (del key), open player.dff's attach list and attach your custom model, click model only, open Kam's DFF IO

    4.
    VC:(Y) MMC:(N) UV:(Y) NOR:(Y) VCOL:(N), click model only, click bones/skin export, save as player.dff or whatever.dff and rename player.dff when imported

    5.
AFTER UV MAPPING WHICH I WILL DISCUSS NEXT TIME.....
PLEASE ALERT ME IF THE KAM'S LINK GOES DOWN!!!! IF SOMEONE COULD PLEASE MIRROR (SAME WITH FULL CUSTOM MODELS)

JUST MAKE SURE EVERYTHING ON YOUR MODEL IS ALLIGNED TO THE PLAYER.DFF YOUR ATTATCHING YOUR MODEL TO, you may have some model glitches but those can be fixed by tweaking...NOW possibilities would really be alot greater if someone figured out how to actually rig with envelopes and stuff

RIGGING literally meens just that RIGGING your model to work with player.dff's bones so you can play in game...

In smaller terms, you RIG a model to work in-game otherwise he runs around like a scarecrow....who has no animations except for "wobble back and forth with my arms strait out"
