Help with WMP!
« on: December 27, 2006, 01:04:17 PM »
I need help with Windows Media Player! I just got this new pc, it had Windows already installed. I download a video, open it up with WMP, and laggggg! It's not smooth at all. Very choppy. Other media players work, just not WMP, and that's like all I use. I tried downloading the newest one (WMP 11) and it's still choppy. Thanks for anyone with any help.

The most obvious problem might be that your new computer might not handle the hardcore stunting that is GTAS. Go to Tools - Options - Performance and twiddle with the settings there.

Specs

2.2GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+
1GB RAM
256MB Graphics Card (NVIDIA GeForce 6100)
250GB HD
Windows XP Home

I think it can handle some movies.. and as I posted, it runs fine on other media players.

I think you didn't have the right codec.. or isin't installed drivers for your graphics cards ( ir isint signed) try to dload new driver for graphic accelerator..  or..  dload coddec pack.. i think maybe this codec pack can help you XP Codec Pack
BTW i too using WMP couse there isin't more practicly and easyer and in my opinion than WMP... and there 1 extra what i love in WMP you can use  wmp toolbar and you can select songs  (next previous) and play stop... very nice media labary and pretty nice sound quality and equlaizer...

Oh and by  the way does any bady now how to crack wmp 11.. couse when i install it  it asking me to validet te windows.. but i can't vaidate couse i have illegal version of xp and it's changed a little bit..  does any body know's how to crack that validate shit..?? :?
