i tried this method

but when i adjust the playrate to "2", the vid is very fast
i know using 15 fps, but yeah, its still fast... i did exactly what this tut says...

That's because your brain gets used to 15 and then when you change it to 30 it looks a lot faster than normal cause you've been watching stuff in slow motion for a while, it's normal so keep editing and it'll feel normal after a while you little school-girl

Fraps has a max resolution that you can record in (1280x800 i think) and anything over that eg. 1440x900 it will just record at half size...you do the maths O_O
780x450?
720 pleb .

Thanks for the tutorial BK, I will definitely use this to record in future, just surprised I'd never seen it here before .

Sorry for the bump, but I think this should be pinned (because of being the best record method and I think we would see lots of better vids if more people used it).

With San Andreas after this method, should I render the video @ 25fps?

Until this time, my setting was this: Fraps: sync, rec @ 30fps SA: FL:on, Vegas: render @ 30fps. It looks to me that i slowed down my videos by ~17%. Is that true?

don't record 30 fps in SA, SA runs in 25

record at 25, or half that which is 12.5
