High resolution 30fps

This is a pretty obvious thing when you think about it

Why would I want to do this?
Here are the reasons:
- Renders a perfect 30FPS stunt video
- Allows you to use Anti Aliasing - as long as you can get more than 15fps doing that (if you where recording @ 30fps it would drop a lot)
- Allows you to record at an even high resolution (a lot better quality)
I can't get 30FPS recording Vice City @ 1024x768, but now I can record 1280x720 @ 15FPS and end up with the same result as if I renederd @ 30FPS.

Does your computer lag when recording with FRAPS? drops down to around 25 or even lower making the clips slower? well...

This tutorial will help you make a smooth 30fps recording with FRAPS... sort of, here is how:

1) Set FRAPS to record at 15fps.

Be sure to split and delete the first few seconds of the clip, if you don't do this the first couple of seconds of the clip will be faster than the rest, this is because when you start recording with FRAPS it drops from 30fps to 15fps, so it's recording at higher than 15fps untill it reaches constant 15fps

This is a very helpful tutorial, hope you guys thinks so aswell

NOTE: This can be done in WMM, Video effects > Speed up double.
The only problem is the first few seconds will be faster than normal  unless you can split clips in WMM, I don't even know if you can

Summary

You can't record in high res (1024x768 or maybe  800x600) because you get less than 30FPS recording making the clip laggy, using this method you will be able to record in 1024x768 or maybe even higher, this will make you record at half the speed Vice City runs at, changing the playback rate from 1.000 to 2.000 is increasing the speed by half, meaning it is the exact same speed as if you were recording at normal speed. Making your videos perfect speed and higher quality

Happy smooth, high quality video making

Is this method also with San Andreas working? Anyways, great tutorial!
SA's default fps is 25, so if you wanna try this method then put fraps to 12.5 fps.
Great tutorial BK.

I do almost the same for a bit of time. I use my special "Hook" (No more information here )  to set the gamespeed to 0.25 in reps - while framelimiter is at 10fps

this will make rep anims etc much smoother and you can record at 60 FPS which even allows you smooth videos at 25% speed

I guess it's OK, but I cant see why, probably because I dont know what the playback rate is.
