I hate to say it...but I just don't think this thread or the video will do any good.  It was a good video dude, no doubt...I agree.  But the problem is that everyone will then reply "Yeah, you know, you're right!" "Yeah, let's all make up and stuff."  But then they'll get out of this thread, have a good laugh, and then go and get in some shitty flame war about their abilities or something else mentioned in the video.  I think someone said something about it's about time the forums got a good kick in the teeth, but I'm pretty sure the effect was more something like *Sighs*...eh, it ain't me that's doing it, I'm innocent...*Continues being an asshole*  You just can't make some people see what needs to be seen.  But good message, MA, I've always respected you for stuff like this.

Stunt:
"A feat displaying unusual strength, skill, or daring.
Something done to attract attention or publicity" I see nothing in here about competition.

All I want is to be accepted, as with many of the newer stunters. It seems alot of the older stunters have shunted us, and we just want them to respect us. So we compete. Its everyones fault here, nothing will change, and it seems nothing will be better until your on top.

People come, people go. But you, you left a impact and for that I respect you. See ya later bro, hope you find somewhere else to spend your time.

I don't see the big "open your eyes" thing here.
I think it's rather sad that most of you go "yeah i agree" without actually giving it some thinking.
Most of us do this because we enjoy doing it, we spend a lot of time on it, we challenge ourselves, compete with other people who enjoys doing the same.
Who can honestly say they hate the feeling they get when they land a stunt they've been working on for so land, that awesome rush and that joy you feel when showing it to people and getting comments like "OMFG SICK STUNT DUDE, Great job!".
We might not be great persons who tries to change the world but we're not trying to change the world neither, all we want is to have a good time, we are persons who does stunts in a game, some stunts are harder than others and a person who does many of them is often called a great stunter.
I don't see why you gotta piss on what you have been spending hours and hours on, why should you look at yourself as pathetic or anything bad if you've only been doing what you enjoy, something you care about, something that matters to you which you think it's worth spending as much time as you do on.
You guys really need to think for yourself instead of just following some "mature thinkers" here, if you see something that's well written and if it's by someone who's respected here you guys follow it like it's the truth.

The bottom line: If you're doing something you enjoy and if it's not hurting anyone including yourself i don't see why that's a bad thing.

If we shouldn't hate on ourselves...then why is it that after 100+ hours (easily) of busting my balls on stunts, the best comment I've ever gotten was "Pretty nice".  (I mean, I've gotten a "Very creative"...but that's just the idea, not the execution.)  People are getting way too damn strict about stunts.  It all comes back to the old stunt argument, always has.  As long as people bitch about old stunts, it won't be as fun for anyone.  I agree that this is all about having fun, but it is no fun when people piss on your work just because it was done before.  Well I better end this rant before I'm late for school

^ exactly ...opinions. They tend to differ alot here, and well people may not agree, but everyone should have the courtesy to respect each others words.....even if you don't.....there is no need to push buttons.

Sure some have a very competitive nature.....not me....but fine.....just be aware that some people aren't in the same boat as you.

Losing stunts does suck, but you should have more fun doing the stunt than showing it off for me....if its a great stunt, i'll still use it and i'll be happy to know that someone nailed it, and got the satifaction i got ...hopefully.

I didn't see that coming at all. You speak the truth though, we don't get anything from stunting except the huge adrenaline rush from landing a stunt. I do it for the adrenaline rush, it feels good.

"wow" was my first reaction when reading this topic. So many opinions and they all sound very true.
I too get a rush when just nailing a stunt. But still i have the feeling i want to show it off and impress the people who i admire.  I think thats because everyone (well almost everyone) wants to be excepted. And I can't really do something about it (probably i'm writing this post to be excepted as well).
I know that all off this sounds realy vague but it's just my opinion.

About the vid: I think it's good MisguidedAngel posted this 'message', at least we are talking about it. And i think it can't be bad to doubt yourself and what you are doing once a while.

I dont need someone to make a vid like that to think about this, I already did and made my thoughts.

I think that... If you dont drink water at all, you'll die, but if you drink 10 bottles a day you'll probably get something bad (at least they said so in the Dr.House) everything is OK if it is not exagerated. A person told me to enjoy life to the fullest once... I'm trying to, that's why I try not to spend too much time on playing a videogame. Nevertheless, I enjoy playing gta and editing vids of course, otherwise why do you think I would be here?

Not that people will red this part but here my friends is why I did this video,

I'm happy with the reactions I've got thus far, having mixed feelings was my ideal situation. I know that some of you agree, some don't, and some of you say "Ya, i've been thinking this for ages"

Ya, you can think the same shit as me all you want, are you going to actually do something about it?

(Insert questionable doubts here)

Do I think this video is serving its purpose? Over 500 views, I'm pretty happy with that as is. But I'll wait for another crew video to hit and to read those replies before I can see if this message will set in.

To direct a lil more, this video was made due to TMS and XSA's "As One Again" video. This is not an attack by any means as I did not actually download said video, I only looked at the thread and what became an ego contest, an orgy of   and things to that degree.

Am I still gonna see ego's around here? Of course, Am I going to continue to voice my opinions when I wish to.

Your damn right...
