im thinking my pc is thinking too hard. tell me whats ok to go if you can.
since this pic ive gotten rid of AVG antivirus because ive already got avast.

No you dont. Thats way too many. How do you even play anything on that comp?  

I usually get mine all the way down to 12 processes when im about to play a game.

lol thats a lot of crap..

keep all the svchost ones, lsass winlogon crss smss and system, the rest can go.

oops, leave explorer.exe too

thanks for the help. the pc is near new and it already boots up slower than a 10 year old laptop

so where can i find this security whatsit?

You don't need most of the processes.

I think you're running a lot of programs in the background, have a look at your systray (where the clock is), I think it must be big. Some programs I don't know, but it's not necessary to run eg. Fraps all the time or DVDLauncher or Steam ...

This programs are starting every time you boot. Uncheck them from your autostart-list: Start --> Execute. Type in msconfig and have a look what programs are in the autostart. Uncheck all programs you do not need all the time (eg. firewall, anti-virus and some system processes you'll need).
