Keyboard problems
«

Last night I was on the computer and my brother came walking by and tripped over a cord. The cord hit the beverage I was drinking and spilled only a little on the keyboard. Some got inside behind the keys, so I got all of the beverage out of the keyboard and wiped up everything. My mouse works fine, but the keyboard doesn't. For example, when I press the 'W' key, it turns on caps lock. The backspace key types a \ and pretty much every key is messed up.
Does this mean the keyboard is pretty much done for? I tried unplugging and plugging the keyboard, but that didn't do anything. If any of you are curious I'm at my apartment complex's lounge area using their computers.

Well, it could be worse then that. You could have fried your ps/2 controller (port), thing is those are usually intergrated to the motherboard. Do you have a usb adapter for it?
Oh and Valikai, wont that melt the fuck out of that soft gel like pad below the keys? If ya do, well put it on the top rack.

This exact same thing happened to me, except i spilt 1 DROP of water on my keyboard right in the corner of my left CTRL key, and then my 3 key typed out as 38, my 4 typed out as 45, 5 = 45, 6 = 67, 8 = 38, Numpad enter = Numlock, spacebar = right, etc, etc. The only way to fix is to buy a new keyboard
