I say let .dff modding be "stunt legal" as long as it only changes .dff .txd and/or carcols.

Sure you can use it, but post your vid in the modded section. Simple as that.

Yes yes, we all know it dont effect the performance in anyway! But would you really trust EVERYONE to install the mods properly?

My anserw is still no until some one manages to disprove these 2 quotes:
"The problem is not the DFF its self, it the other things that come when installing the car. Say some noob installs a car thinking its ok, but he does not realize that he has edited the colision file and the handling. Its just bad grounds man. Leave it how it is, there is no need for a change that is going to cause more issues. And dont say "Well we can make a tutorial." The WHOLE point for not allowing DFF's is to somwhat eliminate that possbility and not complicate things."

"I rember the time when I showed my first video to a another online gta community, and they said it was modded, even with a stock bike. If we use modded DFF's people are gonna think the game is modded when they first see the stunt video. It will bring alot of negative attention. I know that DFF mods will never be allowed. The only reason im posting here is because im sick of the damn issue. Me and every other stunter on this forum can agree that its best that every one has the same DFF, its just better that way. And if you notice most more expericenced stunters have completly avoided this post because its been brought up so many damn times."

Call me an old timer but i still think if you change the origonal models its modding. Plus it looks pretty tacky to see some guy do a 130ft roof on a Yamaha R1.. lol. i like things the way they have been since the begining.

My answer is yes, but I can't see why you would like to use it. IMO .dff modding only makes a vid look weaker. It doesn't give the same wow-reaction if you stunt with a modded vehicle.

I kinda agree with you but, since it's something different everytime you make a stunt video, so people dont know what to expect, take a look at THIS for instance, this is an example of a great looking car, that could blend in San Andreas with the other cars and although it could be easily spotted, this car can still look good in San Andreas IMHO. THIScould also be a great candidate for a Vice City vehicle replacement, as an intro vehicle for a stunt video or themed video. I know the textures look weird some times, but if you change a vehicles textures to be TOO high resolution, they look weird and stand out too much from any vice City vehicles, since you cant mod ALL the textures in the game to make the game high resolution. Also this This was my weapon of choice back when I started stunting, because it was such a nicer looking bike for Vice, it just lured me into it since I loved it so much, Imagine the car or bike you've always wanted in a game, just for you to make dangerous stunts you absolutely cant do in real life, so you have something to fall back on. Also i think stunt videos have become more about the custom textured vehicle than the stunts itself, I mean you wont be able to stand out if you dont have a custom flashy looking PCJ, but the model itself gets boring as hell, as a both NRG-500 and PCJ-600 Texturer...I cant help but feel...geez this shit is so boring now that all you have to do is Photoshop something and it will look really nice most of the time, what makes a truly custom designed vehicle is if you re-model some of the model then texture it and make it look like something that would stand out...that's a truly custom model. I say let people choose to replace the DFF model of the car, doesnt mean that YOU have to use it though...it's not like were forcing you to, but this is just a small suggestion in which you can participate to give us some of the 3D modelers in this site a bit of work to do wiht their modeling skills...it's just going to waste talent which only a few of us have, I say yes, again and again...those are my reasons..and there's more but eh...some of you wont listen so I'm not gonna bother writing stuff down if no one's gonna listen.
