Excellent Fraps quality and speed!
« on: May 16, 2006, 04:32:17 PM »
Okay, so here I'm going to tell you how to have excellent quality, speed, and fps. Sounds near impossible, but I have found a way.

This is NOT recommended for computers that cant handle playing SA/VC at 1280x980x16

Setting Fraps

Step 1: Okay, Open up your Fraps (version 5.0+). When you  do this, go to the Movies tab.

Step 2: Look at the bottom left of your Fraps and you will (should) see something that you can check off that says No Sync. Check it.

Step 3: Change the quality to Half and not Full (trust me it doesnt make a difference in quality).

Step 4: Change the FPS to somewhere in between 23.80 - 25.50 (I have mine set at 23.97, different for all computers.)

Your done setting your fraps. Congrats.

In-Game Recording

Step 1: After you are done setting your Fraps, go into SA/VC and click Options > Display Setup > Advanced. Change it to 1280x980x16.

Step (2): If your using SA, go set your Visual FX Quality to Low.

Step 3: Start up SA/VC, get a rep and record it. It will now have excellent quality with awesome speed and fps.

I did invent this method of using Fraps.

Only downside: Cannot use WMV (Daf-Fy's rendering template for Vegas).

Cheers.

What do you mean 5.0?

I don't really see how this method will make my recordings any better, but I will absolutely try it.

Will write my results later.
