Slim's FCR sommersault in Chapter is still a mystery for me. Is there anyone who could show me how to do it?

You can do stoppie grabs in San Andreas, even on this spot, but you can't do it like Slim did it without mods. Analysed the stunt, and found that you can't stoppie into a full flip from flat ground under any circumstances. Doesn't matter what speed you're travelling at, it is still impossible. The only way you can flip over during a stoppie is to land in a high stoppie from higher ground, like Burn did in Harmony (facing directly north/south helps too). It is easier to stoppie with FL on, because you can enter a stoppie much more quickly, but it is still impossible to do what Slim did. Player statistics like Fat and Muscle have no effect on vehicle handling; the only statistics which affect vehicle handling are the vehicle specific driving skills (I tested this by trying all possible combinations of player statistics with every stunting method in the game, on multiple spots including Slim's grab). The various conditions the FCR can spawn in don't handle differently, so that's out of the question too. Shooting out the front wheel of the FCR prevents it from doing a stoppie, and shooting out the back wheel has no effect on stoppie handling or weight. The collision of the building is normal, so there is no special part of the building that gives you a better stoppie. Different weather conditions don't affect vehicle handling, aside from rainy/stormy weather, which prevent you from doing a stoppie.

The only way this could be done without specifically modding vehicle physics is by spawning the FCR in a glitched state, similar to what happens in SAMP when you spawn directly onto a bike without getting on and off. However, Dannye's SCM does not exhibit this issue, and I'm not aware of any separate trainers with this issue. If there were any trainers with this issue, it would technically constitue as modding, even if that wasn't Slim's intention, because it's impossible for an FCR to spawn in that state by default. I have also tested artificially limiting my frame rate to 5fps, 10fps, 15fps, and 20fps, and that did not make it possible to do this stunt. In conclusion, I think that Slim modded this stunt, most likely with gravity mods or by reducing the mass of the FCR in the handling.dat file. However, there may be a trainer which spawns you onto vehicles in a similar fashion to SAMP, in which case, it would likely have been modded by mistake .

I remember Nyze claimed it to be modded with gravity back in 2008. He said he tried it in every way possible and could not get any close results.

I've just tested it in SAMP with FL on (/fpslimit 25) and the wheelie bug (where you spawn directly onto a vehicle without getting on and off), and it worked exactly the same as Slim's execution in Chapter XXIII. If I'm betting on anything, I bet there's a vehicle spawner out there with the same bug as SAMP, because the attempts I'm getting with the SAMP bug are exactly the same as Slim's .

UPDATE: Knew it, I'm 100% confident Slim used a vehicle spawner with the same issue as SAMP. Obviously I doubt he wanted to mod his stunt, but it is impossible without utilising this bug, so he technically did mod it. Landing this was not so hard after all, took about 10 minutes worth of tries!

Knew something is not okay with that stunt. Thanks for explaining, Paul. I believe it has made his other grabs easier to do, too (for example the grind to grab in Chapter, which kicks ass) IF he has used the trainer often.

This shouldn't affect anything where a wheelie or stoppie isn't involved. Grab physics themselves are the same with this bug. Usually it just makes everything miles harder, stoppies are a rare exception to the rule .

Sucks that one of the best SA videos of all time has an illegitimate stunt in it, although like you said it's unlikely that Slim was aware of it. We need Simon to invite his cousin for a game of bowling and confront him about this
