Vegas Render Settings
« on: October 30, 2005, 03:21:05 PM »
My first video is almost done, only do some basic editing and play with the Video Compression.
As it is my first time in GTA Stunting it´s also my first time in vegas and therefore i need some good output settings.
I noticed that the majority of stuntvideos has wmv as codec, should i stick with wmv or should i use DivX, Xvid?
When i use wmv what are the best settings in vegas 5, Filesize/Quality ?
A friend of mine told me, i should take care about the right wmv Codec, when I choose the wrong you can only playback the video on media player 9? Is he right?
Sorry for the noobish questions, but everyone has to start somewhere ;)
Thanks in advance

I render wmv and 3MBPS. Works great for me, and no need to get my own render settings!

thanks daffy :)
how long does a video take to render?
i used daffys settings, little bit changed, instead of 800*600 i use 640*480 and 1,5mps
mines about 4:30min and i´am at 2% still 5:30h to go o_O
i have once encoded a whole dvd movie in~6h..
why does it take so long?
does it depend on the effects?
cause i rendererd it yesterday with almost no effects and it was done in 1h
do you guys experiance the same?
