Wow, these V vids are just getting so sick. That is so much better than a video full of big air glides imo. Can't wait to see what is released in the future.

Yeah, people really improve at a fast rate. Thing is, even before PC release, everyone still find nice stunts, even insane airs.
Like in SA (if i'm not wrong) the most insane stunts come from year 2009 and above, stunts weren't so amazing below 2008 and all (in my opinion at least). However in V, even less than a year, the standard of stunts get way off the top very quickly. I remember Daffy in the NU chat talking about how fast V stunting progresses and I have to agree. (I don't even think this is the right topic to say it but fuck it :P ) - lmao funny how that's my reply only to your first statement.

Secondly, I agree that type of stunts are better than big air glides, but to an extent. & also, reasons of big air stunts being more than these "creative" ones is probably people are not creative enough and cant find those spots or maybe just that that particular big air stunt is fucking worth going for, people tend to like it and I'm one of them :P . Big air stunt spots are easier to find (for me at least). However, I still think people should try and find more creative stuff if we want people here in GTAS to be impressed :P

I hate how everyone here says big glides are shitty and people should go for "creative" stunts. It's really disencouraging and it just makes me wanna stop visiting this website.

Like, when I uploaded my montage, everyone apparently freaked out with my grind2prec, and it's funny because it was so easy I didn't know whether to use it or not. Other stunts took me 20-30 hours and that one took me 30 minutes and everyone liked it. Guess they don't give points for effort.

Just wish you guys didn't hate a part of the game so crucial to stunting

In the end, he does say "However, I still think people should try and find more creative stuff if we want people here in GTAS to be impressed :P" - keywords: in GTAS. At the end of the day, the GTAS community is too small to show to a large audience (unless you're in a crew, like Nomad, Evolve).

I never said it was shitty. I'm a fan of big air stunts and sometimes I go nuts over it when I see someone do an insane one wishing it was my spot. I also said "to an extent". I'm not sure if your reply was directed at me because I really dont find big air stunts shitty at all.

What you're discounting is the time and imagination needed to find a good creative spot. I spent 2 hours today driving around trying to find something fun to land and ended up with absolutely nothing. The map is super detailed. It's hard to pick out a small area and use it to do something fun and creative. Whenever I find a potential spot, there is always something wrong with it. Shitty runup, weird bump, no way to get where you want to go .etc. After that, I've got a creative stunt idea but can't find other spots where my idea would work.

Big bumps/gliding is a different kind of stunt. They require patience and understanding of the game mechanics to make the attempts count. They are by no means shitty but they become uninteresting if a video consists of only those. They have no suprise factor. Creative stunts are typically unexpected.

Something I really like is seeing a stunt and thinking "Of course! Why didn't I think of that?!". It's something that's been right in front of your eyes the whole time but no one else saw.

Exactly. Big air bumps are one of my favourite type of stunts, but when people exclusively use bumps to make a video, they begin to seem dull. Bumps tend to be telegraphed from the first frame of the stunt, especially when you're experienced, so having a video full of them amounts to a complete lack of surprise. A video filled up with a load of grinds is boring too, it's not just about bumps :P.

agreed.

also, this precision was landed by MrVeyron, but he used boosts, so it's still game to anyone who want's to do it right.
