Possible NEW BMX Technique?
« on: November 24, 2013, 07:33:04 AM »
Hi everyone, i'm a new member to the GTAStunting forum, but I have been aware of the forum since around 2007. I've been keeping a close eye on all of the stunting that is happening in GTA 5, but i'm yet to see anything concerning BMX Techniques, but I think i've found one.

It's pretty simple really, and it might be well-known but as far as i'm aware, it wasn't in SA And no-one seems to be using it in 5.

The technique consists of bunny-hopping and leaning forward simultaneously, which seems to, for some reason, grant you with a huge speed boost if you do it smoothly and consecutively. You are really aiming to land on your front wheel and as soon as you hit, press RB (XBOX) to bunny-hop again, once again you are trying to land on your front wheel. It's quite hard to get used to, and it's only really effective on stunts which require more speed and which have a fairly straight run up, because if you start moving left/right when you're doing the technique, it seems to reduce the effect.

I'm currently trying to make a quick solo, and i've gathered a few spots where this seems to be really quite useful. So try it out and let me know/see what you find  :P

That method is already known :P I was using it when I started playing V :P

Tried to find any spot that'd be great using that method, I didnt.. But yeah, good luck with your solo. :3

It's only useful if you use it right before a bump/gap/grind or whatever. You lose speed right afterwards when using it in the runup, so it doesn't actually help you land the stunt. Just lets you gain speed more quickly :P

Is it useful for racing? I've tried it but failed, I was probably doing it very badly though

If you're in a BMX/Scorcher race, you will get to the finish line faster if you jump all the way :P. But the fastest bicycle is the race bike, so it's not the best option for racing online.

Ah I see, & i think i've found one or two spots where it is very helpful, and i feel that it can increase the distance + Height of the bump if you maintain the boost up until the spot, so that the boost is still in effect until you're in the air.
