I just finished watching Death Note, my first anime really, and I loved it. What should I watch next?

Something similar would be 'Code Geass'. Though I should warn you it contains giant robots and shit, so if you don't like that I'd stay away if I were you.

Another short one I'd suggest would be "Denpa Teki na Kanojo", it's only two episodes, but I seem to remember enjoying it immensely.
