Am i the only one who was annoyed by the stupidity of the cops on IV?

Just look at 1:20 of this video... its total bullshit! the police drive right in the player face to stop him and after that when he escape with the patriot at 2:12 the police did not even try to pursue him!!! the cops just spawn in front of him

The Police chase in V should be more reallistic:

- The police man should care of theyre own safety first
- Try to chase like in SA
- The police should put roadblocks
- If the player use guns, the cops should only try to follow from a medium/far distance and send automatically send SWAT or the army
- If the player pass when the light is red or exceed the speed limits too much, he should be chased by the police
- If player kills a pedestrian or a cop, the player automatically get 3 stars

I remember seeing somewhere something about a 'cool down time' where if you got up to a certain star level, like 4 stars for instance, the cops will be on the look out for you for a certain amount of in game hours. Which I guess would make sense, it's not as if you can get the army after you, hide in a tube, reappear in 2 minutes, and they walk past you going 'hey man how are you!'. It may get annoying though, I guess just sleep it off like in the other gta's  .

I agree but I somewhat disagree aswell. I think the cops should be more realistic but they should also maintain the GTA feeling. You ARE meant to be a criminal and a crazy motherfucker and the police aren't meant to annoy you when you play, they should make the game better so having these cooldown hours would be annoying if they're too long. Fuck, I'm not going to sneak around and playing it cool in Los Santos.

I mostly agree with what you said, but apart from this one. Most people have obviously thought of this one too but it would completely wreck the game. It would get way to annoying because you would get chased ALL the time just in freeroam and during missions which would totally blow your cover, if you pull up at the location chased by a load of cop cars on a stealth mission...

They do definitely need to improve the cops AI though without straying too far from the original concept in the previous games

Keep the petty realism to Mafia, GTA needs to be action pact. I don't want to stop to get gas every other hour nor do I want to drive like a slob under gta's elicit 20 mph speed limit that everyone seems to practice.
