questions1. what is it about stunting that impresses you the most? how do you define the concept of stunting?2. how much time do you spend on stunting?
1. I'm not sure what you mean by 'concept of stunting', but if you mean a definition for stunting in general then it basically boils down to being improvisation. The whole thing is improvisation, and that's what makes it fun. We're thinking beyond the boundaries of the game and achieving (in the context of the game at least) the impossible. Taxi climbs can go way beyond the altitudinal limit, for example. What impresses me the most is, as a lot of people have already mentioned, a well thought out stunt. Big stunts have their appeal, but I'm more inclined to like something where the terrain has been used in a clever, effective way. 2. Barely any nowadays. In the early days I could spend hour after hour trying to land a whopper. Some of the simplest stuff often proves to be the most difficult. The three stunts I can recall spending the most time on were the taxi bridge landing in Alternative (that fucker really did push my buttons), the bridge arch landing in SA Smackdown (having the cam change for the unique jump didn't help this one), and the drop bump 2 girder in Trial By Fire (so many one wheel on, one wheel off landings - ugh!). Back then I didn't think twice about the amount of time spent stunting. When I did my first accidental taxi climb at the bendy hotel in VC, I was up until 7am just doing that over and over again. *Sigh*...those were the days. I have a couple of fuck-prick stunts that I still haven't landed, despite a lot of time being spent on them, but maybe one day I'll go back with the right level of enthusiasm and dedication to get those fuckers off my 'must land' list.
are there any common rules in improvising stunts? i noticed in some threads that spawning vehicles into walls is not acceptable.
