2Pac / Tupac
Tupac Amaru Shakur

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), known by his stage names 2Pac (or simply Pac) and Makaveli, was an American rapper. Shakur has sold over 75 million albums worldwide as of 2007, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. Rolling Stone Magazine named him the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time.
In addition to his career as a rap artist, he was also an actor. The themes of most of Tupac's songs are the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism, other social problems, and conflicts with other rappers during the East Coast – West Coast hip hop rivalry. Shakur began his career as a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground.
On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot four times in the Las Vegas metropolitan area of Nevada. He was taken to the University Medical Center, where he died 6 days later of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest.

He was a legend yes.... But I don't like it how nowadays people only know about 2pac and biggie, while there are many great rappers who died and they are unknown to most of those who remember only 2pac and biggie (like Big L, Guru, ODB etc...)

^ True that  :) Yeah 2pac was a legend , I disrespect guys who are like "hey 2pac is still alive watch this video thats him *youtube link here*" I mean leave the guy rest in peace. Im glad for people who are not into rap (especially some of my friends) and still play some of 2pac's most legendary songs on their mp3s or PCs.

In the late 90s and early 2000 the world lost great names in the hip-hop (2pac , biggie big l , eazy e , JMJ , Big Pun and so on and so on) Since then hip-hop started dying... dying is harsh word , the good hip hop went underground and the other part went more into pop mixed with rap-robotic voices and expensive videos
