Clive - And The Stones Of The Ancient Bunnies - Heart Of The Volcano Complete
Clive - And The Stones Of The Ancient Bunnies, Menu and Theme Music

Clive - And The Stones Of The Ancient Bunnies is a 3D action platformer with similar gameplay to classic favorites such as Spyro, Crash Bandicoot etc. You play Clive, a rabbit who's life is turned upside-down by the evil Dr Daucus and his evil plan! The finished article should contain around 15 levels, complete with mutant animal enemies, collectibles, cutscenes and an original soundtrack. When finished the full game will be sold for PC,but who knows whether it could end up on the app store!

So yeah, this is a game I've been developing for about a year now, doing it all on my own thus far, except the music. Read more here

Very cathcy tune you got on 2nd video. It looks like you got some inspiration by end music of Spyro: Year of The Dragon and those cam angles... I must have seen them before in that game with purple dragon... Cant remember it name... And how the bunny rotates... Im sorry, but if this is going to get wind on sails, then you are going to get some calls from lawyers I guess.

If you would have thought something unique how to destroy those boxes, it would have been awesome! If you take some suggestions, id say that rabbit should learn to fly with jetpack for certain time. Im realy proud to be on forums with guy like you are, and actualy have sent pm to this guy! Its just realy awesome how you have done that all by yourself. Its just too awesome to be true. Seriously, Im going to buy this if it comes for iPod. I just love Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. But to be honest, I dont think that there is going to be much buyers for pc or ps3 and xbox, as its just too classic. Nowadays are those fps games and stuff... But keep it going! Looking forward when its 100% made! Is there demo available to play?  :P

Edit: What was the point with stars? Are they like spyro gems? Or more like Crashes apples?

Thanks, and nothing is stolen, it's all a loving homage, you can't get sued for having a similar game, otherwise games like Saints Row would never exist. And as for a demo nothing as of yet, I'll probably release a 1 or 2 level demo once I get the enemies coded so there's at least a challenge to the game. Thanks for the support, glad to know I have a potential customer, and I really think there's a market for fun games that aren't focused on graphics but are focused on fun gameplay, fingers crossed anyway :P

Oh and the stars work that 1 you need to collect all of the stars in each level to reach 100% completion, 2 every hundred is a new life and 3 you need a certain amount to open up new levels. There is also a hidden ancient stone in each level, and all of them are required to unlock the final boss battle and save the world!

Awesome, dude! This looks like a mix between Banjo Kazooie (nintendo version) and the simpsons game. The simpsons game was horrible to try and steer away from that  :P

Could I get some info on what software you are using to create this game? I'm a guy with alot of free time on his hands, and this type of stuff is pretty much what I plan to do for a living when I've finished school. Besides I need something to keep me busy after I'm done with my current project.

So take your time, the game looks splendid! Will you be putting it up for sale on Steam?

I'm building it on the free Unity engine, coding with JavaScript, modelling and animating with 3DS max and textures with GIMP. And thanks, not sure about Steam, but I really hope to sell it once it's done, if not it's a bit of a waste of time :P, still the process is fun, and all good experience, plus looks good on a job application to a games company to be able to say "oh and I created my own game from scratch" :P

I'll bet! And thanks, I'll be checking out the free unity engine shortly. As for Steam, I say go for it. Why not make some money on this thing? There are plenty of well selling indie games there, and I know for a fact people are going to buy it, myself included.

Keep up the good work, you obviously have a bright future ahead of you  ;)

Thanks man, I really hope so because trying to scrape a living selling 3D models online is so hard, I'm skint as fuck, nevermind always look on the bright side of life!
