I had that problem too but I fixed it somehow, just search svchost problem on google and you should find a solution fast.

I tried. Some of them tell me to turn my automatic updates on, but I can't, since my Windows version isn't original...

Only works temporarily, sometimes not at all. Depends on the virus :P

It's only using 50mb of your ram, mine uses 14mb but I don't really think 50mb is a problem unless you got some 128mb ram   and I see the cpu usage is @ 0..

Kill the process?

That file is a part of the running operating system you can't just kill it.
Depends on the virus :P

When a windows service uses 50mb of ram (which isn't much at all) and as you can see from his pic theres almost no cpu usage, that doesn't make it a virus, as you can see hes running a theme too, that exe is whats handling the theme aswell.

Nobody said that 50mb RAM makes it a virus, but you're focusing on the picture. He told us he gets near 100% CPU usage, and from the situation he's in, it's clear as day what's going on.

Operating System is the only thing I would never get pirated.

Sure, just like you paid for your III. And VC. And SA. And IV. :)

My net stopped after doing that, had to reboot the system afterwards.

who are you

P.S the svchost.exe is now using 30mbs less, which is... a lot, so I guess the trouble's gone.. for now. Thanks for the help and for unsuccessfully trolling the thread. Good day. :)

maybe this problem only with windows xp because it becomes old and no importance with it , you should upgrade to windows 7  , btw, also i had this problem 100% Cpu usage :/ some times it gonna until 102% as the airplane  :| :| :| :| :|
The OS has nothing to do with it really. WinXP is still the most stable.
