Fraps drops to 15fps
« on: December 01, 2010, 10:49:39 AM »
Its me again  :euro: Now i finally got my VC working of course something else had to broke. Fraps works perfectlly fine in other games when recording. But then again not in VC. When i play it shows regular 30fps but when i record it drops to 15fps. And no, its not like it drops becouse of bad PC or something. It drops to exact 15fps. It doesnt go to 14 nor to 16. And its only in VC. I mean c'mon what the hell.

I had this problem.

Go into your graphic card's control panel, try changing some settings. If it doesn't work then set it to default and try that. The default setting helped for me.

That means no AA  :( Thanks anyways.
That actually makes sense since the only change i made in graphic card was for VC.

Does it still happen if you lower the resolution?

Else you could just set fraps to 15fps and then speed up the clips :P

It's almost 2011 and no one invented a software to record at any fps rate on a shitty PC? :(

You can just record at 15 fps & change the playback ratio in vegas to 2, imo it's much smoother that way + the camera is easier to handle.

But you can get sick of the waiting time. That's why I absolutely hate recording on low fps. Even if it would be 25 (VC). The smoothness I had was also annoying, couldn't enjoy my vids.
