australian watered down version...
« Reply #60 on: April 14, 2008, 01:14:45 PM »
Its a start atleast! If this gets into media they might look into the topic again, personally I think the politicians are taking too much time for everything.
When new laws are made, they are like 5 years behind - ATLEAST...

I m looking for a job in the game industry - and guess what? There is not even a job description for that in germany, nor there are schools for it... so all I do is wasting time now until I m done with my 13 must-have school years so I can try to find a company after that.
Its not only with jobs though, the whole informatics/technical thing isn't really described yet.
In germany, for example, we don't even have any laws about illegal downloading yet as far as I know (Which means its "stealing" in general and the authors can charge a fine which is way too high).
Its horrible...

Australians think every one likes them because "they are so cool and they have Vegemite, and kangaroos and koala bears and shit". but most of the world think that Australians are boomerang fuckers.
So don't say America or any other country should be like Australia.

lulz but srsly i heard aus is full of wiggers and you dont have taco bell so that sucks for you

Thanks for the generalization mate...sweeping and all encompassing   . I am going to assume "most of the world" is your way of backing up a point of view that has no real basis in reality. There are ways I feel Australia might be superior to America and I am sure there are ways you feel that America is better as well. If I were to say that America should be like Australia I would not be assuming to take away what makes America unique just what that is does need improving

I don't claim to know alot about America but I do have the point of view of someone looking from the outside and there are some screwed up things that seem to happen in that big old superpower of a country

Use smileys next time...please

EDIT: Just got an email about my preorder from the NZ store. They are getting the shipment of the Australian version of the game and have assumed I would not want to get it from them anymore. The problem is even if I chose to try get the game from elsewhere I have automatically lost my special edition since they are almost impossible to get online now

Fucking rating system blues

I can't get a special edition anymore....but I have found a place that will give me the standard edition AUS for $100 Australian and I get the extra Xbox live points and gamer pics plus they ship it 2 days prior to release so I might get it early.

Still fucking pissed off since the special edition has sold out everywhere here as far as I can find

personally, i dont think another fat making machine should come to australia, we already have mcdonalds, hungry jacks (thats burger king) and heaps of other smaller companies. the only thing better than a home cooked meal nowadays that it costs less to buy take away, food costs so damn much its ridiculous. so thats not a very good point. and i havnt had vegemite for years and i highly doubt someone would say we are cool because of vegemite lol  i told my mum to preorder it today but i dunno if she has yet so hope i still can get myself a copy :/

EzyGames still has the special edition listed (at $135), and it 'looks' like you can still order it from there... I dunno though (I don't have an account with them so I can't go past the 'add to basket' stage)... You would think that if they were already out of orders for it then they would say so somewhere...

All good pre-ordered the special edition  Thanks dude

I just hope the site that I got the standard edition from will let me cancel the order...they charged my card straight away which seems weird
