Try using a different codec and/or format when rendering. What one are you using BTW?

A easy fix would be dragging the Video FX "Brightness and Contrast" into the tracks where you have video and try increasing it to counteract the loss when rendering but you might lose color doing that.
Just try rendering under a different format to see if .WMV is your problem. If it is ill help you more on how to render a proper .avi or .mkv file.
Oh and when I render a .wmv I render from a .avi, so you have to know how to render a lossless avi before you can render .wmv like I do.
