Realtime Video Capture Software - Have you ever wanted to record video while playing your favourite game?  Come join the Machinima revolution!  Throw away the VCR, forget about using a DV cam, game recording has never been this easy!  Fraps can capture audio and video up to 2560x1600 on dual-core CPUs (1152x864 single-core) at up to 100 frames per second!

Meaning if you don't have a dual core processor, you won't be able to record at 1280x1024.. Recording at 1280x768 should work, and give a nice HQ. I hope this is what you ment.

Man, I have no idea what the problem could be then, so basicly fraps doesn't record the whole screen, but just a corner? Try reinstalling fraps, or a different version of fraps. Furthermore I have no clue what you could do. Oh and yeah it looks like shit ingame when you play at 1280x765 but the recordings look sharp and sweet.
