Updating Integrated Graphics...
« on: September 09, 2007, 11:10:46 AM »
Yeah , is there anyway to update integrated graphics? i've updated my driver to the best my chip can be , which is integrated aparently... heres my specs-

Name: Intel® 82845g/gl/ge/pe/gv
Manufacturer: Intel®
Chip Type: Intel® 82845g graphics controller (AKA - Intel Extreme Graphics Controller)
Dac Type: Internal.

Those were the specs from Run > DXDIAG > Display.

I've looked at Intel's site and i found Intel Extreme Graphics Controller 2 , but i dont no if that will make it better or worse. If theres anything i can do to run SA smoothly on Medium or higher graphics please tell me.

Thanks

StuntX.

Hmm, integrated graphics are worse and I don't know any way to "pimp" them up. Otherwise you should buy a grahics card cheap, like I did, I got a Radeon X1800 for 90€, which is worth like 150-200€.

Intergrated graphics means they're built into your mobo so if there was any chance you could update them at all you'd have to check your mobos website

You can't "upgrade" integrated graphics. Though you could maybe swap out the chip if you were a solder nut.

See if you have a PCI, AGP or PCI-e slot for graphics.
