Why is it that people need assurance that there is miles of run-up? You probably only use like 100ft of run-up for that stunt.

Not a good challenge IMO, too random.
I have to agree with that.

Well I have had experience with the HTM.  I seem to use it a lot since I first saw Nitz do it.  But with the tail sticking out and performing the move, you will Boost up the side, but the Heli acts like a ledge and pushes you away from the building you were just on.

This is what everyone is probably expecting once you hit the Heli.  But of course not as high.

Same angle as the ScreenShot:

__________|_________________|_______________
__________|_________________|______/--_______\
__________|_________________|_____/--_________\
__________|_________________|____/--___________\
__________|_________________|___/--_____________\
__________|_________________|__/--_______________\
__________|_________________|_/--_________________\
__________|_________________/--___________________\

__________|_________________|--_____________________\
__________|_________________|--______________________\

__________|_________________|___ ___________________-|____\
__________|_________________|___|________________|___|_____\
__________|_________________|___|________________|___|______\
__________|_________________|___|________________|___|_______\
__________|_________________|___|________________|___|________\
__________|_________________|___|________________|___|_________\
__________|_________________|___|________________|___|__________\

This is what will happen if you try an HTM.  You will be propelled 90 degress from the plane of initial travel.  Instead of going toward the target building, you will be bounced in the direction of the junkyard, not towards downtown.

Angle is behind the Taxi facing the Target Building:

__________|____________________ ___
__________|_____________________ |
__________|____________________/----\
__________|_________________-----------
__________|_______--------------\ |---------
__________|________________

__________|________________
__________|________________
__________|________________
__________|________________
__________|________________
__________|________________
__________|________________
__________|_______________ / -|
__________|______________ / _-|

You know this would have been easier if I just took screens and edited in PS.

Anyway I hope this explains what meant to say.

It is a good stunt, but I do not think an HTM will help here.

It doesn't always turn out that way really. It's possible to hit it and go towards the landing point, just the odds aren't too good. And you don't need run up for this, cabbie/taxi boost are opposite of PCJ run ups, they don't need a lot of space to get into boosting position.

Hey Rocka,

What side of the building did you want us to go?  You have the line like right on the corner.

An HTM would work on the Downtown facing side.  But it is hard to tell from the image if you want us to Boost up the Airport facing side or the Downtown facing side.

The side towards downtown, this was the only pic i could get showing both buildings. It's tough though, cause there are points in the building you have to boost up, like parts of it come in and out... so I got caught in there a few times and didn't get any decent boosting. Just kinda like hitting the roof then falling.

I know exactly what you are talking about.  I got the height of the building just not the oomph from the heli to push enough laterally.  I have to reposition the heli a bit and then try to keep the Taxi on the wall again.

But I have to wait for the computer to get back from ResNet.    I want to play.

This is definitly possible and a good stunt too.

Yeah, I know it's possible, just tough. Well, good luck y'all.  I'll give it a few more tries.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been doing this for the past three hours.  My main concern is hitting the damn heli on the spot, and then I finally do and this happens.

Talk about insult to injury.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

My left middle finger hurts.

Damn helicopter.  It is never where it should be when you need it to be, and when you do get it...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Have fun laughing.

I will get a small streaming for those curious but are too lazy, once I find the disc that has my F.R.A.P.S. on it.

I tried to land that roof by a heli bump from other building... Easy to get 600ft height but hard to get good distance.
